Hello everyone. I was looking for some current feedback on a good class to duo with my twin brothers druid. Its been over 13 years since I last played so I dont remember exactly what goes good with druid. I was thinking enchanter for crack & CC. But my brother was thinking a melee class would also be good like monk or rogue.

Anyone have any other recommendations? Thanks in advance!!

twin brothers ;)

I'd go wizard on the other PC that he uses in the house and have some good times quadding :)

If he happens to live elsewhere you won't need an IP exemption of course :p

really depends on your play style. anything would work really, depending on if you plan to invite other players to join your duo and if you are trying to build the fastest exp duo or just have fun.

chanter and druid are both good solo classes so you can work together fairly easily. monk and druid is decent tanking and decent heals. rogue and druid would be harder (rogue doesn't tank nearly well, and can't backstab while tanking).

melee druid combo will start to hit a wall and slow down significantly as you climb into the 50s if you aren't twinked out. chanter and druid would work with relatively same tactics all the way to 60. again, it comes down to your play style.

i would pick what you like to play (chanter is VERY different play than a rogue), and just accept that you will duo slowly at times when you can't find lfg folks.

Chanter/Druid is pretty good. Heals, ensnare, buffs, DS, ports are fantastic.

An enchanter is the best soloer in the game at high level with charm, and the Druid allows them to do that much more efficiently.

Enchanter mezzes and tash's potential pet, druid ensnares, enchanter charms, hastes and attacks other mob that is rooted and debuffed.

Enchanter pet becomes a destruction machine, that runs really slow when charm breaks.

Druid/cleric or druid/shaman if you can find animals to charm will be amazing.

Think we're gonna try out enchanter with his Druid (Dirtnapp). Mainly looking for something thats group friendly but also allows me to solo when hes still at work. (Not to mention I have 30 levels to catch up hehe) Thank you all for the feedback!

My GF and I did druid/chanter.

It proved challenging to teach her how to properly charm with a chanter (having never played EQ in her life), while trying to master it myself. But it was extremely rewarding and fun in the end to do double charms. The full time clarity was also really nice as a druid.

Druid/rog is actually pretty great for outdoor soloing. Druid throws out snare, flame lick and runs and sits down while the rog drops that dps. Almost like reverse fear kiting.

That's a hard sell for the rogue though, not sure I'd want to be chasing mobs for hours at a time :p

Not sure what happened to Dirtnap with one P but I'm surprised he didn't snap that name up - always remember him for trying to make plat by offering to sell you one of 12 "premium" character names.

Druid/enc is the best, if you are set on a druid.

I'll agree with druid and enc being a good duo. You can fear kite with a rogue pet very easily

Enchanter seems slow starting off, but what I'm hearing things just get better and better as I'll level. Currently waiting on our IP Exemption so we can play together / transfer over some gear. I've ran into a few other enchanters that have helped me out with a few plat to get me started. Which is one of the main reasons I've come back... the community =)

It does start off slow but once you get high teens it really picks up

DRU/ENC is a super fun combo. I also love DRU/NECRO.

You'd think.. but I've tried some duoing while leveling and flame lick just doesn't pull the same aggro right now, for some reason. Ensnare>3-4 flame licks and I get pulled off really quickly. The thing is, it's not consistent. Sometimes I'm pulled off instantly by my enchanter buddy's pet and other times it takes a few rounds, but it's definitely not good at the moment.

have him roll necro. that'll put hair on his knuckles. but then you should play his necro often as well, or else his knuckles will be so much furrier that you won't be twins anymore

My twin and I played shaman / paladin combo. Which is okay but the dps just is not there. Heard shaman monk combo is a good idea, but my personal advice is play the class you want to play, warrior and rogue combo? stock up on bandages OR, better, make friends with a cleric. Druid and Chanter combo is b.a. tho.

Ding 27! Leveling is going well now that Dirtnapp has gotten me caught up with him enough that we can group at fm giants. My next question is where is another place he can quad that is relatively safe for me to run along beside him? The Overthere seems good but the mobs have crazy high resists. Should we stay at fm giants til I'm in my 30's? Thanks in advance

Obviously I would only sell the most premium names, and Dirtnap with an extra P is not premium.

Obviously Dirtnap wasn't original enough for Dirtnapp ;) Hes been using the name Dirtnapp for about 16 years throughout his mmo career. Curious what other "premium" names you've sold...

None. Its a running gag with Swish because I snatched up a bunch of names on launch day and considered selling them off, but never have.

The joke here is that enc is the best duo partner for any class and the best duo of all is enc/enc.

chooosing your class based on someone else is a fools game. Play what you like then make it work with your friends. Thats they key to a good life

I chose enchanter for the sole reason on clarity & charming. I've played druid to 52 on live and Dirt was a 53 necro. When he first came to p99, I hold him druid might be one of the better starting classes so he has port/speed. Necro was never my cup of tea and wanted to try something new.
