Noob problem: Stuck under Arena

I know I've seen this topic addressed somewhere else here, but I can't find it now.

I've just logged in for the first time and my character "Porkbelly" is stuck under the Arena. Can't sit or camp out. I know I can probably /q, but I don't know if that would make things worse in the long run.

Any ideas? I think I remember reading that it's a problem with substituting a particular file..

Well, this only seems to occur when I attempt to login with a newly made halfling paladin. Everything worked fine when I created a halfelf ranger.

Halfling paladin was not an available class/combo in classic.
