If you haven't seen this movie, you probably need to. It is in my personal opinion, one of the greatest of all time. It's up to par with Easy Rider and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Comment with feedback. Perhaps I'm just way over exaggerating. You guys can be the judge of that.

Enjoy

I really can't think of Jon Voight without thinking of him getting pig raped in Deliverance. 'SQUEEEEL PIGGY'

Don't think Midnight Cowboy or Easy Rider are quite as good as One Flew, but watching them all should be a requirement before you opine about any movie.

I don't think there needs to be a 60s or 70s requirement. Some of the best films in cinema history were made in the 90s and 2000s.

And I'm a student of that era of film. It just took me a couple decades to get over what my boomer teachers were feeding me. Every one of those films were groundbreaking and significant. There have been more than a few films since that were more so.

Not insignificant but please. They were the "look at us" generation and expected to be. Still now in their old age. Generational vanity. "Look at meeeeeeee!"

Wasn't holding that particular generation of movies to any higher standard; there have of course been good movies since.

Funny though: I think the subsequent generations have been more "look at me" than the boomers.

It's all a matter of personal opinion guys. 60s and 70s were hard to beat though. Fonda, Nicholson, Kubrick, George Lucas, and Sergio Leone with all those badass spaghetti westerns.
