Up to 30 members, who are mains and in fact NOT twinks or alts, ranging in levels from 50-59 are attempting to pull their comrades together and regroup under the tag <Reckoning>, but they may be routed by the level of betrayal originating from the pretender who claimed to be saving the server from <Nihilum>.

At this time <Azrael> is now the uncontested champions of Red99, seemingly filling the role as the server's new <Nihilum>.

2) was ex-<Hokuten>'s only shaman AND lvl 60
3) had been soloing crypt for days for his own cloak
4) is currently unguilded

There are a lot of opportunities with small groups doing farm camps or possibly beginner raids. If you are interested in end game raiding there is only 1 choice though, so not really that many opportunities if that is all you are interested in.

PS - Nihilum had 30+ when all the 1 day a week veterans logged on for their pick of PD loots and sow swords, it was pretty much low to mid 20s every other time. The only other times we had 40+ was when Azrael was zerging and Nizzar was calling everyone back to help fight the zerg, players logged on for the first time in at least 6 months just to steamroll Azrael. The numbers dropped as these players were no longer interested in playing while Azrael played alts and forum quested instead of contesting.

Azrael feels threatened and Lite wants to secure his spot at the top of the RMT pyramid well into Velious, so he is wearing his tin foiled had and accusing all the new upcoming guilds of being a Nihilum alt guild.... pretty funny.... A Blaze officer who is pretty much fresh on the server was telling me how Lite was accusing him of being Ex-Nihilum... Made me chortle..

I don't know why lite is saying Nihilum fielded 60+ Like it was Regularly. But in reality it was Azrael that always fielded around 24 players to contest. There were hardly ever even number fights. There were many weeks we had where were didn't even go because 25 people would do nothing against the Nihilum turnout. We even had to reroll melees to contest since we couldn't possibly get the 35+ players Nihilum fielded so easily.

How quickly people forget the past 2 or so years. Don't be so shortsighted. We also knew that 50% of the nihilium present at kc had a logged extra character in position. The odds of success we're so little man.

But it's the only mass PvP I've had here and the few weeks we got with it was the peak of this server for me. And lie all you want about it, but both sides won same even number fights. So thank you for that.

i actually just looked up this guild, realized its UBN crew + some other nihi folks (Lamort, rystar alts, brutality, etc). no clue why anyone from az would help them, and i foresee zero of these folks in azrael. either way, good to see dragons going to other guilds

the funny part of this whole situation is that sometimes these new guilds are truly new guilds, and leadership isn't 100% on what the fuck they are doing. Maybe they can't amass a large enough force to contest a spawn, and diplomacy is their only way to gear up and gain experience. If you have a solid [vital class here] with an every day, 6 hour day play schedule but your guild isn't able to keep another 17 people (of the right classes / skill / gear) on the same schedule.. welp. How long until that geared, skilled, experienced vital class gets tired of sitting around, hoping maybe they get enough people logged in for the right timers?

It's not on Azreal's shoulders if they are responsible for recruiting members from the so called 'feeder guilds' (of which the list is amusing for various reasons), but rather the potential failure of the smaller guild's leadership / core member morale after losing a LOT of spawn contests. No guild can currently compete that I am aware of. If Azreal doesn't do a bit of hand holding, there will only be one guild in the next few months. You need a sizable roster to compete, a roster larger than your raidforce in the event that people don't show. Calling literally every guild on the server a 'feeder guild' is laughable.

So what if Azreal is letting newcomers show up to some raids to see how to kill things. Maybe i'm wrong on this and a collection of those guilds are truly 'feeder guilds,' but mostly I suspect that the paranoia conspiracy neckbeard in forumquesters is in overtime. If people from the smaller guilds jump ship, well it's expected. How long is a guild of newbies going to last?

Smallguilds: SLAMDUNKATRON just got our first 50s this week (woot). We have many more 20s-30s members and a handful of 40s. We don't open recruit, and are not merging (flattered, but please stop asking). We are more than willing to discuss and work out plans for the future, mostly to begin with planar clears since literally everyone is wearing rags still aside from maybe 2-3 people.

110% agree.

A top tier guild needs recruits and members to constantly bolster their ranks so that they remain on top. It is a standard MMO tactic, but this is a low pop server and it drains the player base.

My issue with Azrael is not the fact that they do this, but the fact that they have spent the past 14 months I have played on this server bitching and moaning about Nihilum doing this and being a 'Zerg' only to do the exact same shit themselves.

There is RMT, there is mass recruiting (via proxy guilds such as Hokuten and Eternal Light, which is clever since Lite does not hold accountability for gearing them up) and there is a whole lot of griefing as seen in the GM event.

I hate hypocrisy, I don't care about being the underdog and in reality its nothing new as my necro got no pixel package and was wearing cloth into 60.

Just 2 days after looting a Fungi to "sell for funds to buy Sky stones" the bravest of the brave, Jibeknn, leader of the resistance movement known as <Hokuten> has unceremoniously disbanded his guild and run into the comforting arms of Lite, seeking the safety umbrella of <Azrael>. With him went all level 60/VP keyed (or close to) members of <Hokuten>, who within the last few days managed to quietly dump dkp on Seb droppables after the loot rules were altered to a "loot council" of 1 member - Jibeknn.

The damage to the guild includes:

* The "guild fund" Fungi is nowhere to be found.
* The guild bank has been pillaged.
* Multiple sky banks have gone into hiding.
* A minimum of 8 guild leveled, geared and epic accounts have been pw changed.

Up to 30 members, who are mains and in fact NOT twinks or alts, ranging in levels from 50-59 are attempting to pull their comrades together and regroup under the tag <Reckoning>, but they may be routed by the level of betrayal originating from the pretender who claimed to be saving the server from <Nihilum>.

At this time <Azrael> is now the uncontested champions of Red99, seemingly filling the role as the server's new <Nihilum>.
