I apologize for not having specifics. I thought someone else would have mentioned it already.

Lately I have been having spells resisted that should never be resisted, and by mobs 20-25 levels below me.
I know for sure it was happening randomly but not often in Droga when I was using my necro Yawgmoth. I had Pyrocuror resisted a few times by common mobs, which has never occurred before and should not even be possible considering all necro fire dots have a -100 FR check.
I also had Deflux resisted at least once that I am sure of and that should definitely be impossible for a 30 something goblin when all necro lifetaps have the -200 MR check.

It did not happen a lot, or really often enough to trigger red flags in most people but I have killed those goblins tons of times and it was the first time I have ever had any resist check spell totally resisted.

I think my RL friend had it happen to him too in a different zone while playing his necro. Overall it may have happened on 1 out of 20 or so casts, but blowing 400 mana on a resisted dot or tap when you were relying on it could easily cause problems. Even still it was easily overlooked until Deflux was resisted. No npc has even resisted my lifetaps unless it was a belly caster or totally immune to magic.

If someone could look into it a lot of necromancers and probably other classes would appreciate the effort. I will try and get a pic and specific information if I see it happen again.

They added a resist "floor" meaning there is a base x% chance of an outright resist, regardless of modifier or level range. Had a particularly nasty one the other day where my aoe stun followed by mez were resisted. Made for an interesting cr.

Apparently it's in line with classic...

Ah ok, that you very much for the info. I did not realize they had made changes.

I wonder if will also affect necromancer lifetap dots. Bond of Death and Vexing Mordinia were at one point classified as unresistable because nothing could overcome the -200 MR check.

I wish we could just dispense with the Classic crap. It's not a viable reason for changes when some things have intentionally been made un-Classic. Losing 33% of your DoT dmg unless the mob is stationary or feared isn't Classic and really hurts shamans when all their dots have a DD built in and can break root.

I want snare and sow kiting back! We can talk about Classic EQ again when everyone deletes Ventrilo and Teamspeak and uses dialup internet again.

It's a bug from last patch that apparently is "fixed" now in the new patch that hasn't come out yet.

I have about 1-2 Lifetap resists per day, it's complete horseshit and should have been emergency patched but ehh whatever.

Trying to get latest resist changes pushed to beta to do more testing. Hopefully tomorrow they will get patched out.

Wheres dat patch? Green mobs messing me with 110 MR and resisting splurt/deflux/bond of death.
