Help me become a better Shaman Duo Partner

What do I need to know to be a better Monk duo partner?

My shaman is 47 with epic and Cani II

I feel like the best shaman partner would just get to 50, have monk FD in a corner, and you root rot with that fancy epic.

Until then, keep a timer on haste so it never drops. Keep up Regen/Chloro on the monk at all times. It's your most efficient heal. Keep up HP/STR/STA. Don't bother with AGI/DEX.

Monks are pretty OP on their own, you're likely better off only doing heals, and no damage spells unless you are full mana/HP. Slows you need to decide whether the mobs you're fighting live long enough. Check the value of slow and figure how much mana each slow saves you in heals. With a duo it's probably more mana efficient to slow than just heal through.

Always be doing something. Canni a lot. Never sit at 100% HP... Think that's about it.

Hehe that was somewhat tongue in cheek. I updated my post though... But seriously, root rotting with an epic is very good in the low 50s. Better than duoing with most any monk other than a very twinked one.

Was doing all of that, but felt that I wasn't doing enough and monk was AFKing a lot due to my inability. However, I was casting. Always doing something. This helps a lot.

You can root CC if you get multiple pulls that the monk can't split. As a shaman/monk duo you should be doing dungeons since you can handle them and get better ZEM. Keep your pet around to throw in a little extra DPS, although it's not worth buffing IMO. If you have extra mana for DPS, you should look at whether any of your DoTs last for full duration or anywhere near full duration (best candidate is poison DoT); if not, nuking is probably more mana-efficient (you can calculate this yourself).

That's the sort of duo you'd want a JBB for. Since them monk is tanking you won't break your root like you would if soloing. Free 300 DMG every click. Just slow a mob, keep monk buffed and spam JBB. Canni while he pulls.

Those are what 25k? I don't have that much anytime soon, but if I can get to 50, I feel SF's will make that possible.

You're a level 52 druid, you can make like 2k an hour powerleveling (although I haven't powerleveled for money so 2k is a real ballpark figure). Not that I'm saying you need to buy a JBB to duo with a monk - just, if you really want it, it's not hard to farm up that money.

Yea about 25k. If you're just looking to level you'll probably get 50 before you farm money for one, but that's an ideal duo to have such a clicky. If it's a friend or relative/family member you will be duoing with up to 60, it'll still be worth the money in the 50s. It's just even more OP at low levels since mobs have way less Hp.
