No Ghouls in Northern Ro

I distinctly remember lots of Ghoul trains to the EC tunnel in Northern Ro back when I played classic. It was annoying and scary. I also remember killing ghouls on my paladin at the undead ruins, yet they don't appear to be part of the spawn rotation at all. When I'd get trained at the tunnel, there were at least three of them. I think I have some old screenshots somewhere.

Also, Allakhazam's shows that they spawned there at one point or another.

Ghoul story bro

These bastards killed me soooo many times in NRO that its not even funny!Specifically at derv 2 where some little snit ran through the ruins and agrod 3-4 of them +2 lesser mummies on my group and I.(Hey I was lev 11)Then I moved to Oasis, leveled a bit, and then dragged their pansy asses across the dunes! Can I get a hell yeah?!!!! Well now I'm in Loio and am being slaughtered by ice and char skeles *sigh* if I'd known this would happen so much I would have become a cleric or a pally. Ah well. They con indifferent to me also. But I'm a human magician from freeport! I can go right into the ruins in north ro or east commonlands and jump right on their heads and they do nothing. Weird, huh?

Ominox im a lvl 22 shaman and the ghouls in ro con indifferently to me also! BUT! in unrest they con ready to attack!!! somethings weird huh?

I have an odd story to say. I am a barbarian shaman and the ghouls at the North Ro ruins con indifferent to me! I am not invis when they do and I can walk up to them and hail them. They dont answer, but why do they not KoS a barb shaman who worships the Tribunal? I remember the several zombies/skeletons/ghouls around the ruins. I didn't remember them being indifferent, not sure when that was fixed, there's a gap in archived comments on everlore from the last page (9/99) to the first page (late 2000)
