Hi, I have done some research and I cant find good information on this.

There is some kinda bug or trick that enchanters can use to get through locked doors... could someone enplane this to me? or is it a secret that only mason guild enchanters share?

A combination of shrink + illusion can get you through the door.
1. Stand next to door and face it.
2. Shrink to the max (min?)
3. Cast illusion, one that makes you big.
4. Notice you appear to be on the other side ;)

or what i use to do on live not sure if this exact version works here:

While running in place against a door(can't be moving to sides) cast a illusion on yourself then click it off(all while still running straight into door) and you will pop to other side.

Gnomes could do something similar on live, basically sit down in the door and then log off. Log back on and you're past the door.

Changing illusions makes your body not occupy space for a moment allowing you to pass through a door.

Stand at a door, cast an illusion, run into door, drop illusion.

While auto running into a door and clicking/dropping an illusion is the most noticeable/effective way this works. One of the best uses of AoN.

There used to be a bug on live where you could get charmed mobs/feared mobs to open doors, too. Makes sense Eye of Zomm would.

Is that fixed here?

I just tried it, no effect de>gnome>Back while running at door - like no effect that I could even see as like 'you almost have it, keep going!'...

The eye of zomm works similar to illusion. It doesn't open the door, just that you sit right up to the door, switch view to eye, click off eye, and then when you go back to your view sometimes you're thru the door.

The way I've always done it, with a native dark elf enchanter:

Gnome illusion. Run into a doorway while ducking. Click off illusion while still ducking + running forwards. Stop ducking, continue running forwards. Click stalking probe. Within a few seconds, your perspective will shift to the probe; this is the moment when your character, which was still trying to run forwards through the door, pushes the rest of the way through. Now you can click off the probe buff and your perspective will return to your character, who will be on the other side of the door. There might be steps there that are unnecessary, but I didn't want to mess with a good thing.

Staff don't seem to mind it because most everyone tries to keep it a trade secret, so not many people do it, and because it isn't a foolproof method (level 50 mobs aggro the eye from a long ways away!), plus classic.

Bugs that may gain unintended advantage should be in the exploit/petition forum...

Then again this is classic.

What I found worked on my enchanter, back in the day on live, is stand right next to the door, wear one illusion and begin casting a second. Just as the spell finishes casting click off the first illusion whilst walking forwards and then click off the second illusion as soon as possible.

It takes good timing but doing it this way gives you two attempts to phase through. If you are really good at timing you won't even need to channel it (my live Halfling warrior could do it with the frostfell mask from the Halloween event).

I discovered tricks like this on test server with my ranger using an AoN someone gave me for free. I called it my skeleton key. I bugged it many times, but I guess they either never read my reports or it simply wasn't within the scope of the machine to be fixed.

So there's no way to do this without using eye? Was trying to figure out easy ways into HS south since I've been super unlucky about poofing keys lately, but figure that four spawn room right after door would easily aggro an eye.

You get into south with the eye trick without aggro from inside the wing; you just need to deal with the golems near the door first.

As far as getting through locked doors without a key/rogue being an exploit? I specifically asked staff about this and similar mechanics/tricks/exploits quite some time ago and got a response along the lines of "if there is no risk to the player, it is probably an exploit." This certainly has risk (lull resists or combat in order to ensure you don't get aggro on the eye) in most any location you would be using this though. Besides, I streamed using these things and talk about them all the time and no one has ever said boo about it.

Welp, got aggro on the four spawn room using eye method. Do you use the left or right side of the door? I used right side..after thinking about it, probably should have done left.

Edit: Trick worked though..after I clicked off eye, I was on the other side of the door lol

Ahh, now that you mention it, I remember some people talking in general about issues with eyes aggroing mobs through walls in HS of late. I think it's a bug though, because there's no line of sight from those 4 mobs just inside of south to the doorway iirc... especially not to the left side of the door.

There's a more legit and more labor-intensive method: get the east pather (since it's most likely a summoner) and push it through the south door with stuns or little nukes or push from a pet or something. Then root it, make sure it's damaged below 98%, back any pet farther away than you are from the NPC, and it will summon you into the wing. Messy, but it works.
