Is this spell even worth using? I was very much looking forward to it, but not that I'm 29 I realize quadding is far easier without it. I have yet to snare four mobs at once without getting a resist, and a snare resist just complicates the process far more than any advantage snare provides. Will this change or should I put it in the back on my spellbook?

Do you have SoW/JBoots or what? How are you quadding otherwise?

I always used it for quadding. Resists were a little less common back when I was doing it but it's still nice IMO. Not that complicated if you get a resist; snare the one that resisted and group them up. But if you find quadding easier without Bonds of Force then don't use it.

When you're grouping with other people, snare can be a useful thing to have (e.g. for stopping runners), although the fact that it's an AE snare can make it a hassle.

Snare should pretty much be permaslotted and its an essential spell. When you get your levels snare will resist way less and its pretty much required to quad higher level mobs. Snare is a very powerful ability in a dungeon and you should be snaring pretty much every mob that runs when you're in a group and making sure they don't run away. It is a complete pain in the ass when it doesn't stick to all four mobs when you're quadding but its something you have to deal with. It will get better with levels.

Snare kiting is also a very effective way of holding agro without taking damage. Duo with a rogue snare kiting mobs its not an awful way to get xp if you don't want to quad kite. You will end up having to agro and snare kite mobs away very often in many different situations in both dungeons and raids. Its a very powerful mob control spell.

Staff of Temperate Flux is way better for holding aggro than snare is since you can spam it as fast as you want and it doesn't cost mana.

Flux staff is awesome but it doesn't make mobs run slowly :-) depends on the situation really, often times I just stun and maybe take a few hits afterwards instead of running a mob around a little, esp in a tight camp where there's no room to run. Lots of different ways to make plays with clicky staff, stun, snare, and root all available.
