Magician DS does more damage yes, but a druid DS does last alot longer and therefore imho is better. Now if your in a group and mana isn't a problem then the extra damage from the magicians DS is better choice, but in tight fight, I'd rather have druid DS.

A Mages DS dos more damage but druids last a longer time, druids will last more than one pull while mages need to cast every time the puller comes in with a MoB.

Really wish EQDruids would have included more info in their spell listings, would make things easier today :(

Caster's Realm is pretty reliable tho, so I don't know if these quotes are just guessing and spitting hypotheticals or if CR has a weird duration listed.

If the level 58 damage shield lasts for 6 minutes, costs 150 mana? and does 32 points of damage.....even "slowed" like you say...in the typical seb/HS/DN/etc., etc. run...

Ok, wildfire costs 320 mana. Does 1024 damage. A tank with a 32 point damage shield would have to be hit 32 times to equal that.

Um, and if it lasts 6 minutes, and costs 150 mana, you'll get to cast it twice for the cost of 1 wildfire. So go to 12 minutes.

So let me ask you- do you a tank will get hit more than 32 times in 12 minutes? Even by "slowed" mobs?

I don't know what kind of "math you use," but perhaps you got it from the back of a cereal box?

So we have 6min in TDG discussion, 7.5min from 2003, 6min for the Japanese one, 10min on casters realm... And P99 I think has 7min even? I'd have to check in game but I know it wasn't 10.

And I am a bit tempted to email some of the old forum hosts to see if they have archives/backups of their forums like TDG on a hard drive somewhere.
