Login in to server then after 10 seconds im kicked back to server select

My landlord changed his router from a cheapo 40$ router to a fancy 240$ router thats much faster and has all these settings to make everything anonymous. I know p99 has patch files put on your computer to scan IP's or something of that nature I'm not too into the technical work. he set everything for us to be completely anonymous and when you scan our IP it shows some location 1000 miles away.

Ever since he installed the new router I cannot connect to the p99 server anymore. internet and everything is fine, If i disconnect my main internet and plug my phone in and tether off that i can connect fine so i know its the router.

my question is what can I do to make this router work and connect to the p99 server while remaining anonymous?

heh, i just checked i can join any server except p99 blue/red... I'm only going to be living here for 6 more months but im not in control of the router settings. If there is some kind of exception I can make that somebody knows please help! I currently cannot log in and over 100 people are counting on me to lead the resistance on the red server!

just spoke to my landlord he said he has the router set through a VPN using an option called "private internet access"

Ive used PIA. Basically your issue is that with PIA the only servers that work are the oversea's ones because you then open port 5998 on them. For some reason all the US based servers that PIA uses you can't open that port on them. If your landlord is cool tell him to use like the UK southhampton VPN and tell him to go into the options and there is a option to open port. Have him put in port 5998. and it should fix it.

we set the port open, in fact we just went ahead and set every port open just for my machine. same issue still. any other ideas?

Did you put the port open through the PIA settings or through your router? Have to do it in PIA settings.
