While im not a fan of Win 8, my laptops came with it and have never had any issues with crashing. Although if they would let me i'd format and install win 7 anyway lol.

Yeah, my new computer came with win8 installed. I had slipped the old hard drove in already, so I swapped their slots and remapped them and ignore the new hard drive now. The end.

No wait it would be the end, but windows 8 is such a cock-up that it will always boot my windows 8 drive unless I'm spamming f8 when it reboots to tell it which drive(by serial number, not c: or d:) to load. What the classic fuck.

yeah im just not a fan of win8, we got one of those all in one desktop during winter last year and I hate it.

It has never had any crashing issues, granted its a family pc and used for browsing mostly and not gaming. 8 still sucks, real real bad.

Don't care for Win8 either, but no crashes whatsoever. Disconnections, sure, but no crashes.

I can deal with 8.1 a bit better, but only because i have it set to load up the desktop view by default. Searching for files is still a pita tho.

so unreal trying to find directories and files and anything you actually need besides the start shortcut. I stared at the tile screen for like 10 minutes at first trying to figure out where anything was

if you right click the start button it gives you option for the file explorer.Makes finding files just as easy at win7....but yeah i had 2 issues with win8 that werent EQ related that made me switch back to 7.

Is there no more Bios in Windows 8? I have not had the chance to use any Windows 8 computers is the reason I ask. F2 used to bring you into BIOS where you could swap boot order for drives & other crap

Of course there is. But on alot of machines the option to format win8 doesn't exist and I don't want to just lose that space on my hdd

Free start menu http://www.classicshell.net/
Can change the start button graphic and such. I install it for all my windows 8 clients that can't browse around with the new style start wall.

Win8 is hard to downgrade at times. Sometimes there is a secure boot enabled to prevent legacy boot processes.

Try and find your COA for windows 8 now too! Its in-bedded into the bios... ;(
