Just about to ding 45 on my shaman. I'm trying to plan out my leveling route to maximize my platinum gain. To save for Torpor of course.
Anyone have any less traveled spots that shamans can shine at?
Seafuries, always seem very busy. Looking for some unique spots that might not be as good as the most popular but some camps that are generally open.

Lower Guk camps like AM/Frenzied/Lord/Tact+King would be good IMO.
AM - Robe goes for 3k easy. If you want to farm it I'll pay you 4k no problem!
Lord - Helm is 1k easy and common drop. SSoY people still buy to look cool, but you can vendor it for like 450 or sell for 500?
Frenzied - Rings are common and 50-100 plat. Sash is 8-9k.
Tactician - Book is probably 100 and Tiara is 5-6k.
King - Crown is 2k and common. Sword is like 500.
Just use epic click and root and AFK til root breaks or epic click ends.
That aside, in your 50s group in Sebilis. Mid-High 50s try to get crypt groups. Sell JBB/Hiero or hope for Emp to drop Torpor and win it.

What level can an epic sham start holding down Guk camps consistently?

50 probably. All you'd need to spend mana on is root and healing yourself. Pretty sure shamans solo'd those camps during classic pre epic and Kunark gear. I dunno about AM/Lord but I'm pretty sure on frenzied

It's still a work in progress, but it already has some good suggestions.
P.S. As a 45 Shaman you can now use a JBB (unless you're an Iksar). The price is dropping to < 20k plat, and they make a huge difference: you can literally kill a mob with only JBB (and epic since you have it) damage, so that the only mana you spend on a mob is for the slow. And then when you're 60 you can always sell it for Torpor cash.

So just tank and keep spamming JBB?

Basically yeah (with a slow before the tanking of course). I also root sometimes to let my pet take some of the damage, but the root inevitably breaks from all the nuking so I don't do that as much.

make friends, do howl stones alot.
need to be 51-55 to be effective in a wing there.
AT least its fun. Most pp farming is intensely dull!
recomend you know a keyed necro tho.....gettting your body out of a wing while naked is no fun )
@45 go duo oggok guards with dru or necro....they can sell to vendors tehre, by ent. pathing near sk gui is dodgy tho....careful when pulling bank. Also need be wary around shm guild....they cast lvl 56 dots!

This is pretty good advice other then Arch Magus. Guy hits you with ice comets and other nasty stuff. I have died to him enough to not consider him worth it. Now if camp is broken then sure you can do it, but don't waltz in expecting to drop him easy-peazy.
Another Suggestion is Droga, You have Chief and Soothsayer camps.
Soothsayer drops Earring of Essence(5-6k), and Chief drops Idol of the Thorned 6k-7k, his bodyguards drop; Circlet of Shadow(2k-3k) and Guantlets of Potence(6-7k).
P.S. Sorry for not getting back to your PM, I have been buying a house and been very busy.

Shaman were soloing all guk camps pre-Kunark, though it can be rough at places like king/lord. It's a good challenge though if you're into that kind of thing.

Droga is great for cash if you can get into it.
Permafrost for the root nets and mammoth hide cloak sell okay if you want a relative easy camp.
Hooded Black Cloak camp in MM is good cash aswell.
