its a largemouth bass they vary from like 1-5 lb's in the area from what ive seen so far this one was about 2.5 lb's

Bass is not as bad as people think, but definitely not on par with anything from the pike family or panfish.

Fish boils are so good...can only really find them in Wisconsin around here (I'm in MN). I just cut the whole Y piece of meat out, lose a decent amount but they are good sized fish so the fillets are big enough anyway. Slimey bastards are tough to handle though.
