Access Denied

Hey guys, im looking to play everquest for the first time and downloaded Titanium and the last thing i needed to do was extract the update v33 into my directory. Upon doing so it told me access was denied to those files and after trying to figure it out for a time could not find out what was wrong. Sorry im not the most tech savvy but does anyone know what to do?

put your everquest folder on your desktop - you can just cut/paste it

because it's in your programs folder, it has that silly windows protection

or lower your security setting (forget how)

Ah thank you, that worked but the only problem is now when i try to run everquest it tries patching and then cannot connect to anything :(.

Nvm found out my problem. just need to connect to the login server now.

Yeah you need to patch it with the patch provided here that you downloaded. You use the included exe to launch it. If you start patching from the live patch (from SOE) you'll need to reinstall. If you have stability problems launching/running, download WinEQ 2.0, fixes problems and is the only legal 3rd party app here.
