Nilbog: Vials of Swirling Smoke are stocked in limited supply on npc spawn.

I killed Olyna Mudel and she did not respawn with Vials of Swirling Smoke for sale.

Hm.

On my dev server:

-went to Olyna Mudel.
-Purchased vial of swirling smoke. Deleted it. Purchased another.
-Killed her.
-7 minutes later, she respawned and had two Vials of Swirling Smoke for sale.

What did you do?

Pretty much the same thing. This morning she didn't have any Vials of Swirling Smoke, so I killed her. When she respawned there were no Vials of Swirling Smoke on her. I organized her vendor list by price and the most expensive thing was Dufrenite, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't an error on my part.

This was her inventory when I logged in a few minutes ago:

Then I killed her:

Then she respawned and checked her inventory, no gate potions:

As you can see, they keep their entire inventory, including things sold to them (raw hide armor, fine steel weapons, etc). Even after death and respawning.

I killed Torlig Mudel and his behavior was exactly the same.

I bet that is the issue. Nilbog doesn't have any items sold to the vendor on his test server. And the Vials are getting added back in upon respawn to the bottom of her list. You could probably fish the Vials out, but no idea if that's classic or not.

NPC should respawn with a fresh inventory if i remember right. Anything that was on them that was player sold before you killed shouldnt be there when it respawns....or have i just smoked too much today?

Ah yeah it's probably getting added under all the player sold crap, not sure why I didn't think of that.

Underlying issue to this fixed by Haynar, pending update.
