It's not OT so please don't suggest it. Everything is yellow/red a level 30 still, and the few blues are too fast, not enough time to get Bonds off.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Just continuing LOIO skeletons until something good pops up. TY!

30-31: Wooly Mammoths in Everfrost near Ice Giants. There are only about 5 or 6 spawns, so you'll eventually need to learn where they are and where they path. Doesn't take long, though.

30-34: Giant Skels in Rathe. Some are green, but you should be able to reliably quad mainly blues until 34.

Pretty sure as a Wiz you can still get by on blues in LOIO all the way to 35 at which point you'll be able to do OT. Its been a long time, but I remember going through that same issue on my wizard and I think after a bunch of searching I just went back to LOIO.

kind of stuck at 36 here, no where to quad interests me. everyone will say fvie and im sure its great but I hate it, personal opinion.

I did giant skels on my war until low 40 but they are terrible on my wiz if I can manage to take down a quad, pretty well twinked so mana shouldn't be that big of an issue, the down time does not make up for it.

horrible level range, just suck it up at fvie until you can move on to something better. doesn't matter what class you play high 30s is the worst range in game.

Not if you can kill HHK guards - blew through the 30s on a monk in there.

pretty tight area for a quadding wiz, but yeah there are out and away spots that can be great for twinked melee

We may be referring to different areas? Didn't know the ones in Rathe Mts stayed blue that long. They start to green at 29 or so, but you can still usually find all blues if you have the area to yourself and figure out the spawns well enough to avoid the greens (just anecdotal, but the higher levels ones tend to spawn in the same places).

Untwinked with horrible gear (staff of the wheel + stein + advisor robe was pretty much it), giant skels were pretty effective for me up to 34. Most of them greened out by then and there were way better opportunities after.

34-40 was a weird time for me because it was pre-kunark, but I did 38-42 on NK guards. At 34 the spires in SK still work, but the gnolls start to green at 35 and significantly green out thereafter. My bet is the pirates in FV (i'm currnently doing them on my 35 ranger) will be decent prey at least for a few levels after.

SK. Probably can't do centaurs anymore since they got injected with speed but can run around grabbing birds. More room to kite then you could ever need with very few kos things to avoid. If gnolls at spire aren't taken grab them.
Can bind in EC, get clarity, port to NK->SK kite til clarity wears off, gate back for fresh crack.

the giant skeletons next to lake rathe zone in? only ones I know of, they were lb/db to my war post 35 they do seem to con lower on my 36 wiz. im not sure, I know I did 35 and 40 hell on my war in that spot though.

Sk spires are pretty good, ill have to try that again if I can find it uncamped enough to quad

I have fond memories of back in the day on my DE wizzie on Vallon Zek. Bind in OT for clarity and sow, gate to NK and go run around SK quadding random stuff. Mixed in with nuking any lighties I ran across out on the plains.

doing SK Spires quadding. Tried FV it was too crazy with the magic resist on pirates, much higher than anything else i tested for this level (all have been blue cons).

Pirates cap out at 32 so they are higher compared to gnolls (27-30 for gnolls versus 28-32 for pirates iirc).

The advantage with pirates is that they are rogues with fewer hps than warriors of equivalent levels.

The disadvantage with pirates is that they are rogues and you'll get FUCKIN REKKED if you let them catch up to you with your back turned.

I have a soft spot for pirates because they are literally the fastest xp for enchanters at that level outside pl.

I'll have to go back then to try again on pirates. Thank you.

I did pirates from about 30-34, you can probably stay till 36 or 37 just on pirates and drolvarg savages. At 35, OT is doable, but resists are more of an asspain and I always end kites at 0m, wanding my mobs down. 1500 mana at 35, for reference.

This thread got 19 replies and nobody mentioned the one and ONLY spot for 30-40 as a wizard (or druid, hint hint) that gives 400%+ more exp than anywhere else at 30-40. Guess this truly is the last remaining hidden gem.

I almost don't even feel like telling now.

But since I am a decent human being....

Bind in Qeynos by bank. Port to NK. Run to splitpaw. Kill gnolls (quad 4 of the 5) outside splitpaw till you acquire 3 of the 4 lore Tanned Skins. Now GATE and turn them in 1 at a time. This will get you around 35% of a level for as little as 5 minutes of work. These also rot on the ground because others dont need them. Proceed to gain 5 levels in 1 day. Ask anyone inside and outside to let you know if any are rotting. Even offer platinum.

Yup, those are the ones. Apparently their level range is 22-30 according to an old file of mine. That would make sense given how much flippin hp some of them have.

You have to turn them in one at a time? I turned them in all at once and got jack for exp at 33.

Also, you're referring to the ones that look like a closed scroll, not the ones that look like a spell scroll, right? Or vice versa?

Rhambuk

the closed scroll is the tanned hide, there are 4 of them but all labeled the same if you identify it you can tell.

im not sure if quest requires all 4 or if you can do it single I think you need all 4 but in none of my time leveling a few characters in paw did I ever get all 4. I didn't spend a lot of time there but 3-4 levels across 3-4 characters
