Old EQ Vet... trouble finding the game

I miss this game (classic) so much! I would play probably on most of my down time. However I can't seem to find a good install of Titanium. Is Amazon seriously the best place to get the disks ($89.00 used)? I cant find all my old EQ disks, and trying to download a back up of the disks I had, pretty much doesn't work, and risky.

I still play live now and then, and get bored after level 65.. and start another character so I can go back through all the old content. I'd rather just play with you guys here.

Well one day if I manage to get my hands on the titanium disks I'll be on!! Game on for me guys...

Tried dressing like a pirate, it only got me a game rig that needed to have the HDD wiped, or restored... never got the 'booty' or found any treasure.

So the most seeded result since the year 2007 with 161 comments, made you have to restore your PC? I'd suggest trying again.

Please make sure to use the magnet links when you download the game, if you click anything else that says download on it you'll be setting yourself up for a virus.

Ok, lol .. Ill try it again from the magnet link. I didn't see a 161 comment option with that many seeds. But then again, I have a few computers, I always run stuff on my old ASUS gamer laptop, before putting it on my new ASUS! lol

Trying to copy and rename my live EQ directory and see if I can get it to log in that way. so far no luck.

Unfortunately that does not work, you'll need to install the titanium client and then extract the patch files from the download linked above to play. There are also a few files to remove. Anyway if you follow the directions it will work.

You'll know if you are on your route to downloading it whenever your torrent client picks up the file to be downloaded (via clicking the magnet link) if your browser tries to download any sort of executable file you've clicked the wrong thing.

this. these are ISO disks. Not execs. To exec, you need, you know, one of those programs that can mount ISO discs. As the first cosplay role player Doug Henning, said: it's magic.

I am familiar with virtual ISO Drives, (as I play a lot of Nintendo and play station games on my computer too... easier to pick up and take with me if I want then lugging around all my consoles and games hahah)

SOoooooo, I'm lookin for the titanium ISO, and my frostclient is working (tested it)... but still getting 0 download speed for titanium. lol. ohh well guess ill let it stay on, and read up on more stuff. if I get bored of that, ill log back into the live server and go put a beat down on some old zones.

That's odd, the 2007 upload, when I google it, has 56 seeders, you should for sure be getting faster than 0kb/s downloads.

yeah it says it has 61 seeders right now, and frostwire picked it up... but I don't see any changes yet

Some torrent clients have an issue with piratebay/magnet links, I recommend utorrent for downloading it, but it's up to you.

Frostwire may be the problem with this, used to use that but I would alway get bad downloads. Utrorrent or vuse is good IMO

qBittorrent is also a very good client. Look for EQRed99.zip. It is not an ISO file, it is a zipped file that all you will need to do is then download the patch then play.

Thanks again guys for the help, I have 3 clients tryin.. lol 2 are kind of working, both very slowly. Might even try to get the SoF secrets of Faydwer disks (they should work) Been watchin YouTubes of P99 :-))) sooooo excited!
I remember playing in 1999 and up to 2001 before I got deployed 3 times, lol the game was never the same after they added in all the stuff.
lol now I'm just trying to think of class combos I want to play to keep busy till I have the install.

Got my install done, followed the directions (deleted certain files, and inserted the P99 files). when I launch from the titanium launcher, or use the EQEmulater starter they both eventually take me to a black screen (with an old style EQ Cursor on the screen)... which would normally be the login screen.....

Any Ideas? help please lol.

Go into the eqclient.ini file and change Full screen to False.

Does it matter if the account key has been previously used, or am I only concerned with the discs themselves? Also I have Windows 7 and an ASUS Republic of Gamers laptop w/ i7, will EQ run okay? Anything else I need to know before clicking "purchase"? Don't want any buyer's remorse. I'm excited about visiting Norrath again as it was when I played back in 2001.

The software is all that you need as you're not registering a play account with SOE so that would work just fine. It runs just fine on Windows 7. As for the laptop, remember that it's a 15 year old game ;)

Don't buy it. Just download utorrent and go on piratebay and download the version that was uploaded in 2007. You bought the game 15 years ago so your legally allowed to have a copy of it which means you can download and not be doing somethign illegal. Save your 80 bucks.

On that screen press Alt+Enter once ingame you can adjust resolution.
