Hey all! Oddly enough I just discovered this! How's the p99(blue) server doing as of date? Pop still around 2000? (after recent google searches) I'm very interested in adding myself to the server. Looks great.

Welcome! Take note that the non-raiding community in game is phenomenal, whereas the community on the forums isn't always so (but usually the helpful folks outnumber the trolls, who are usually smacked if they go too far). People will frequently go out of their way to help in game or give you starting gear.

I recommend staying out of Rants and Flames if you value your sanity or see humanity as basically good.

Heya Grimdark,

Definitely take the steps to install and roll up a character. The community is thriving and there are big things (Velious) on the horizon. Plenty of lower levels running around to group with, and you will find that (by far) most of the established players will be happy to lend you a hand.

Best of luck, and see you in-game!

You will encounter two douchebags to every one good guy.. But that one good guy is willing to help you get a few levels to begin with, and maybe some banded too.

It's worth it, just avoid RnF at all cost. (The forum, not the guild.)

I don't think you're doing this community justice with that statement. I didn't experience that bad of odds even on Red. In game, I'd say you're looking at 5 level-headed, kind people to every one douchelord. With how much wealth has been accumulated on this server over the years, its not uncommon to see complete strangers give thousands of plat worth of items to new people. The forums are a completely different story though, as you pointed out.

if you saw humanity as basically good, you wouldnt spend all your time playing elf sims.

that said, RNF is pretty fun.
