If you are having the same problem I am the dsetup.dll is being detected and an "Artemis" trojan by McAfee and constantly quarantining it.

although I haven't seen that error, a new/common issue going around (as mentioned above me) is that the file dsetup.dll gets deleted from your EQ folder. If that's the case then tell your antivirus software to ignore that file, and then grab another copy of that file from the latest patch zip, and place it back in the EQ folder.

Ok so i have fixed that issue, now it is telling me that the memory could not be read. what does that mean? I guess this is the punishment I get for changing to a newer computer... ugh fml

Damn, I was hoping it wasn't that, already tried it.

I was just having connectivity issues like some other people so I tried re-running the patch, and now it won't even load and I get that error pop-up every time.

Have the same issues out of nowhere. My antivirus is detecting the dsetup.dll as a Trojan horse and even when I say to ignore it and replace the file I still get the 0xc0000022 error. The game was working fine last night.

Figured it out. I disabled my anti-virus temporarily and it starts right up.
