Hey yall first time Everquester here, I think I might have messed up my shaman while creating him when I havn't read all the guides yet. I went +5wis and +25stam and Iskar.

I know the choice of race is ok but I read it's suggest +25wis and +5stam instead. Will this really hold back my shammy later on from being as effective or is the difference really minimal?

you are gonna get 200 wis even without adding points to wisdom ... so in the end its best to have the HPs

Most shamans tend to focus on Stamina/HP over Wisdom. Since Cannibalize essentially turns your HP Pool into your Mana Pool.

I wouldn't say you messed up... I think WIS may have been a better choice, since the WIS "soft cap" is 200 and hardcap is 255. It allows more room for meaningful growth. Whereas stamina's influence on HP pool has a lower soft cap, something like 115 Stamina is the "soft cap" and the returns for stamina:HP are lower from 115-255.

Stamina from 1-115 returns 3 HP per point. Stamina from 116-255 returns 1.5 HP per point (level 60 values).

Basically you're going to end up focusing on getting 15~ or so more Stamina (to hit that 115 soft cap) and then trying to get gear for straight HP or WIS/Mana.

Whereas if you went WIS starting stats you'd want about 40~ STA from gear meaning you'd wear a few more stamina pieces and a few less HP or WIS/Mana pieces.

At the very high end you will be capping WIS and STA when using buffs and non-resist gear I think though.

The more Wis at creation you have the more +hp gear you can wear which is better than +sta.

I would go full WIS since the mana returns are much higher for a shaman than HP from STA is, but it's really not that big a deal either way.

Thanks I think I will re-roll, level 10 aint a big deal.
