Leveling 50+?

Hello all. I recently hit 50 on my Magician and, while I did eventually get 60+ on live, never had to level with just vanilla/Kunark zones at this level.

So, question 1: Grouping? I assume I'll be able to do KC relatively soon but don't really know of any other decent, populated zones other than CoM which I've almost outgrown.

Question 2: Soloing? Should I just stick to cyclopses/giants in vanilla zones if I want to solo? I know there are a few good Kunark zones that I could be soloing in, but not knowing safe spots in each zone makes me reluctant.

Can do outside Karnors castle in Dreadlands along the wall till 54 if you're looking for "safe".

outside / inside kc is fine at 50 or you can do back end of CoM aswell.

I like to head to seb or HS at about 54+ though with a group

KC technically can get you all the way to 60 (albeit slowly). At 51 in dreadlands there are still some dark blues to be found though most are 'light blue' - now 'green'. I'd wager, as the above poster said - could slowly get to 54 in the relative safety of dreadlands.

BW has higher mobs and is an outdoor zone - another spot to solo or find a few folks to tag team it with.

Solb (especially spiders) will take you into high 50s.

Other than that ... Seb, chardok, HS ...

I'm in the same boat really. I did 48-50 in DL and 50 to 60% into 51 so far in KC.

BW is decent for 51-54 or so. Can do giants if open or also hornets near the big nest thing. There's a spot up on the wall above the nest that you can avoid adds and pull singles all day. Best thing about this area is there is nothing else except hornets so you don't have to worry about those annoying sowed sarnaks.
HHK nobles is best exp for that range if you can get it. Burn down the first real fast then slowly kill second to separate spawns. Or if you have root nets use them to split it.
Bats in SolB good exp, stay near the sol A zone and as long as careful can pull all singles.
Lots of great mage solo spots 50-54(55). 55+ the options slim down a lot.

CoM is great for at least 5 more levels if ya wanna go up on 2nd and 3rd floors.

Soloing BnB in SolB is awesome exp in low/mid 50's once you get the pulling down.

Clark, what is the solo ability situation like this here for 52 druid. Is it something I could handle by myself? Or is that more of a group situation.

Around your level I'd triple kite the three Halas "guards" out away from the city. They have relatively low HP and with my mana I could nuke them until they ran and then use my ES vambs to finish them off.

You'll forever be KOS to Halas... but who cares?
