Hail, well met, assorted obligatory salutations,

My brother recently discovered this and we've been having a blast. Set up was super easy and the community is.. Well, the exact opposite of any d2 i've ever played. The whole thing is fantastic. They even have ladder resets, the most recent of which took place about two weeks ago.

http://www.reddit.com/r/slashdiablo For info/faqs/whatever, i'm no redditer but there you have it.

like what?

Spent the whole day yesterday trying to find a new game to latch on to.

Found:

Divinity: Original sin (today) 40$ a little too steep for a gamble and feedback is game is buggy as fuck for now. A couple of games im playing i enjoy but either alpha or beta state so dont wanna play em too soon and get burned (Planet explorers, starbound, starsector, project zomboid). Interested by Elite and star citizen but again alpha beta states and fuck me if im going to pay 50$+ to provide free bug testing to a company, no matter how nice the company sounds.

Playing: Dayz, got bored fast, updating planetside2, havent played in 6months, well see how that goes.

Lookin for fun multiplayer games, MMO scene is barren as fuck, looked at wildstar a couple of times but atwork style is horrible enough for me not to be able to look past it, maybe archage in a week or 2....

ArcheAge has revived my faith in MMO's. I haven't had this much fun in a while on one.

League of Legends is still fun.

Picked up a few games in the Steam summer sale (XCom: Enemy Unknown, Sid Meier's Pirates, Hotline Miami).

Also chasing Diablo 3, Watch Dogs, and EQN:Landmark!

(ok jk on the last one)

Got it up and running after my battlenet account mysteriously vanished. Will give it a shot this week if anyone else wants to make some new toons and level up. Was only like 20 people on it when i logged in but there are atleast 650 toons on the server that are level 20+ so some pop to it.

Ames who?

Those reviews you've been reading are probably still early access reviews. It released just a couple days ago and it's been in almost a perfect state since. It's easily my favorite game of the decade so far. It actually feels like a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate / Icewind Dale / Planescape: Torment / Neverwinter Nights. It's absolutely phenomenal how much of a sleeper hit this game is. Pick it up, you will not be disappointed.

Edit: Pick it up if you were a fan of the old Isometric RPG's. If you don't like them then you may want to pass.

I bought colonies online, which is like an isometric shooter with bare bones eve online mechanic on top, really alpha, maybe should have bought divinity.
