"An Unkown Error Occurred"

Like the title states, when I try and log in I'm met with the message "An unknown error occurred while trying to join the server". I logged in a couple hours ago, no problem. Now this? Any idea what it could be? Anyone else getting the same message?

Same thing just began happening to me, I went to switch accounts and was unable to join. Have restarted my PC and repatched, and its still happening.

Same thing here. Happened last night as well, and I had to restart the client a couple of times and it finally worked. I logged out tonight to switch accounts, and now am stuck out with this error.

About a half an hour ago I afk'd on red at the character select. When I came back I had been logged out. Ever since then this is happening to me. PC Reboot didn't help, same thing occurs when attempting to log into blue. If I sit at server select long enough I consistantly get an "Error - A timeout occurred"

I just got the "error trying to connect to the server" notice and now I'm getting a "errror-timeout occurred". Not sure whats going on.

I tried connecting to some other servers also, same result.

I'm still getting the error, did you guys do anything to fix it? I've tried restarting my computer. I'm on a community internet connection so I can't reset the modem, hope that's not the solution.

I can get into the character page but once i try to enter world on my character i get "EQ has crashed due to an unknown error." Tried many times in the last hour.

My girlfriend had this problem. Followed step 10 in the sticky article to switch the server in the eqhost text file. When we went in she ended up having two Eqhost files. Deleted one and tried reconnecting. Resolved.

i just got this error message today when I tried to log onto the Red server. The fixed list didn't help. I can log onto p99 Blue server fine. I can log onto other accounts perfectly fine on the red server. I have even tried logging on using a different IP address. still no luck.
It's odd that it only affects one account for one specific server.
Any suggestions or ideas?
