I was banned for "boxing" a level 29 enchanter and my druid by logging on the ench once every 30 mins and giving myself a fresh clarity.

I was soloing in kedge keep in an empty zone. Had logged my ench in to give myself clarity and with 5 seconds left on camp Ambrotos suddenly appears right in front of me. He asks me to run the two boxing test but i told him that my "wife" had already left the house to go to the store. He told me if i wanted to not be banned I would need to perform the test.

So I asked goog ol Mustard to log in the enchanter for me and do the two box test. Mustard logs in using a VPN and proceeds to complete it without any issues. Ambrotos then asks's "So, your wife lives in guam?" . I'm like wut bro? Apparently he looked up my ench's I.P address and mustard's vpn had given him an I.P address in guam so I was banned immediately. It was a "permanent" ban and according to Ambrotos i would never get my account back.

Fast forward 24 hours later - I PM'd Nilbog on IRC and gave him a sob story. He told me to make a petition on the forums and check back in a few days. 2 hours later I had my account back.

A fun fact : I had received that I.P exemption by asking Amelinda in teamspeak and she gave me one on the spot as long as I promised to be a good boy.

I had a corpse in permafrost once while soloing my druid through 59 (with the help of NWs gear). I parked my cleric in the pits to rez at a later time when someone could help, since I'm an honest nonboxer.

My buddy Heywood was online soloing some bears via root rot and told me it was clear to login and get rez over teamspeak.

I logged in and someone got on my cleric 2 rez me and logged off.

While medding and recovering from rez effects both Heywood and I were kicked from game. We were BANNED.

We went straight to petitions and avoided the public forums, cus as server veterans we knew that making a fuss in the forums is a sure way to not get staff support.

Ephi told us we were banned for exploiting pathing. Don't forget, Heywood was root rotting mobs at the time because if you didn't and tried to snare kite, mobs would path into "cannot see your target" territory despite being in plain sight.

Word spread through the different team speaks and ventrilos and a few threads popped up flaming Ephi for his poor uninformed decision and how root rotting mobs was considered a pathing exploit. Heywood and I made sure to continue avoiding these threads since we were still trying to get unbanned for this unjust, rash GM decision.

A couple days later Heywood gets unbanned and Ephi tells me he's keeping me banned for an extended period of time for the RnF threads that I didn't start or post in.

Got shitfaced while playing blue before red beta. Trained to docks and wiped 10+ blubie faggots. On CR when I'm summoned to death spot facing a giant Amelinda Iksar surrounded by GM REZd pitchfork and torches noobs demanding explanations for my actions.

My most memorable moment involved a guide watching me and a pal farm hiero cloaks and when we ran into trouble the guide instantly logged in a couple characters conveniently placed inside hieros room to try and snipe my cloak, lucky his duo wiped too and me and my pal somehow managed to best them back to the hiero. Favorite gm moment is when a crystalline short sword was rotting and Aussie held onto the corpse or the sword for me until i could clear down to loot it. i was at the entrance and had to 3/4man down to it with low 50s. Took a little bit to get to NG. Aussie then handed it to me.

later that day Aussie randomly ported to Hadden to see if anyone was camping him and he had already decided to give that person an illusion. He had no idea i was on my rogue alt at the camp and he gave me an illusion. When i told him thanks and said it was me, he had a good laugh and had no idea. he said he was doing it randomly

But Ambrotos is mean. Decided to stop taking my psych meds cold turkey and was posting pretty crazy stuff, but I never deserved a forum infraction for impersonating a dev or whatever it was. And then because I was crazy at the time it just escalated. He made me mad, and was a jerk about me having multiple forum accounts like I'm some kinda shady person running scams or whatever.

I know for a fact no matter who it was I helped people on the server. Well, besides Retti when he asked for a CR from Trakanon's room. Told him tough shit, and he said he would just let it decay and ask for it to be summoned when he came back.

I logged on answered the petition and resummoned it in the lair.

For the most part, staff members don't hate people. When you try and work around the rules and what we can really do, that's when things go down hill. Kind of like spamming RMT accusations and spam calling me a faggot in ooc/shout/say for 30 seconds. Things just won't work out.
