Have we had any dev response about this question? Will quest turn ins also give me 50% increased exp?

I think EverQuest is actually a good name, despite the fact the questing is limited. Quests generally mean something in EQ, they are harder and take more time but you get something you're in-game proud of most the time. Not so much of the "kill 3 rats" type shit outside the newbie zones.

Did you know that there are only 2 cities in the game that the guards are not on the same faction as the warrior guild?

Neriak and Cabilis.

Few more since I found some factoid video SOE released on the 10 year anniversary on the interwebs.

The first item listed in the database is "a cloth cap".

Over 60,000 people applied to the EverQuest beta before it started.

10 years in, almost 3.5% of the items in the game still hadn't been discovered.

To put it in perspective it was like 3000 out of 89,000...that's a lot of items total, but over 3k undiscovered.

Yeah but how many are undiscover-able because of SOE bugs? ;)

I wished for a thread where someone talked about interesting facts on EQ. Very cool Kergan, I need more now.

Still better than Luclin models.

I remembered reading that and thinking it is horseshit. A lot of quests are just plain fucking broken, it's likely that is why. I mean the clockwork boxes/keys from Ak'anon is a great example of something that was never fixed when I played despite people talking about it for years.

Yeah I am willing to bet a large amount of those items (keep in mind this was 10 years in multiple expansions past where we're at) were undiscoverable because bugged quests and/or drops.

Makes you think though. For example, how many times has Xygoz died on R99? Roughly 2 years of it dying weekly, plus server down repops and a handful of simulated ones - lets just say somewhere in the neighborhood of 100-125 times. I believe 4 robe of the springs have dropped total, so around a 3-4% drop rate. What is there were items that were like a .5% drop rate off a mob nobody killed that much? We'll never see it here because we're basing all of the drops off of observed ones from Live.
