Having all kinds of problem with logging in, loading, and zoning.

I've read everything about basic setups and FAQs about trouble shootings, and followed all steps.

Problems are these.

1. Can't log in sometimes. Simply log-in fails.
2. After log in then sometimes I get blank server lists.
3. After I select server, it will load for 30~60 seconds then I will be kicked back to log-in screen.
4. After I select server, client will crash before the character select screen.
5. After I select character, client will crash while loading.
6. If I successfully log into game, client will crash when I am zoning.
7. After client crashes while zoning, 1~6 steps will happen in random manner and it will usually take 20~30 minutes to get back to the game. (How the problem fixes itself is mystery to me.)

There is absolutely no problem ever with my pc, or all other games or browsers at all. Other MMOgames will run flawlessly.

I can only think of this problem rooted from client or compatibility, or server.

I just hope this problem can be fixed. I love EQ.

Please give me any suggestions except the ones already widely known.

It happens in cycle. Once zoning fails, client will crash, problem 1~6 will happen. Problem will dissolve in about 20 minutes or so by itself. Once problem goes away, there will be no problem zoning for a while, and once it happens again, it will continue 20 minutes or so. Rinse and repeat.
I can only think of server issue at this moment.

try resetting your gateway on your router. Works for me. Maybe it will help you also

I still have same problem all the time, I can only suspect it can be either resolution/graphic card problem, or server problem. I am no specialist in this field though.

what sort of video card do you have?
I normally put my card to let application decide what options to use or something similar. I do remember having like aniscoptric filtering at 16x one time and it crashed. I then just set it to let app decide.

Welcome to nearly every day since I joined. I eventually get through. Sometimes takes me 20 or more attempts, but... yeah.

Today:
- 5 timeouts before I could reach the server select screen
- 6 blank server select screens
- 2 update spell file errors
- 4 timeouts after character select
- 1 crash when zoning

Exact same issues as the OP. Have tried all of the suggested fixes and nothing works. I had no problems last week except for occasional LD while zoning and my usual log in times being slow.

I notice when getting to character select screen that once I try to log in game my window freezes up says not responding and then turns completely grey. Usually it sorts itself out and I log in all be it very slowly but lately just kicks back to account log in screen.

Tried to play with my video card setting related to EQgame.exe. Turned off all settings, still same. Though I felt it maybe a bit better in low population area, that I cannot prove. Problem still persists.
