Ya ditto. Great guild we have here. Just did a 4 man run of HS east with a couple charmed pets. I had a blast and I think everyone else did too.

To be clear we aren't elitist by any chance, but instead we are just trying to find a niche in project1999 that doesn't involve the raid scene. The best one we could find was to have a small guild that takes down tough mobs with as few people as possible.

Because the encounters are done with such few people they do in fact require more skill on an individual (or maybe group) basis, but this is what makes it fun!

So we of the A-team decided to do a little dungeon crawl together in HS East. We had golem on golem and skeleton on skeleton action, not to mention some oocs that were green with jealousy.

Breaking into east. I gave my pet a ranger yak and a stun whip, Save gave his some crazy scythe thingy. Muzzle + Wondrous rapidity = 80% haste in theory. . . although I wonder if NPCs have the same haste cap as PCs.

After that we got Svenn's corpse and blew through East again with no problems until we got to Drusella's door. Where we got to play 'nuke the spectre to get summoned through'.

Got Overking Bathezid tonight with 8, and we we increased our degree of difficulty a bit by having a paladin tank. Perhaps we could have done it with less, but thats what we had on. So if you want a shot at a Vibrating Gauntlets of Infuse, check Chardok in 2 hours . . .

First scheduled raid night went pretty well and we peaked at 11 players! Which means we are, like, a real guild. We have a lot of solo/duo/farming type players so we're still learning the tricks a bit but we're learning pretty fast.

Really looking for a Wizard, a SK, and another cleric (Coeur is on chardok faction). We actually have fewer enchanters and shaman than it looks like as well since for some reason all of our euros/aussies play those classes. But as always its more about having fun!

I also had to get a gm to retrieve bompoi's corpse back while he was out working at sea, because somehow it rotted in PoHate.

I changed the password and deguilded him to prevent the character from becoming totally ribbed and destroyed.

We don't have the same officers that there was when people were actually logging him in. Taken is under new leadership all together.

The last time I remembered him logging on is when you (or somebody else) asking for a ride out of hate and we didn't have any wizards on or anybody else up there so he could go do something with a friend...then the toon logged.

I'm sorry they treated the toon so poorly. I didn't have a clue tbh.

We had a zerg force of 20 though (like 8 tagalongs), so it really doesn't count. Only 2-3 casualties though, so that's a plus.

edit: Killed two more; Lavarian got the bard belt, and both SK/Paladin haste belts rotted. We also got two enchanter shoulders off of the Keeper; grats Loraen/Tecmos on a bank set . . .

Best group of people ever. I started socking Verina this window cause it seemed like I wouldn't be able to get a jump on her any other way, and A-Team guildies just started showing up in Third Gate to help me without even being asked.

India and Ignt and Galv were there yesterday for hours, leaving fat, ugly ogre corpses all over the place and scheming fun thinks to do with a few choice spells. People volunteered to be on a personal batphone for when Verina popped. Friends from outside the guild camped characters in the zone to pop on as soon as needed. And more!

Then she popped a bit ago and we had 3 clerics + a sham + me engaged before any other guilds even got to the zone. Several more A-Team were only a minute or two behind that, to help with the enchanter animation + cleric nuke DPS, and Verina was dead in no time.


Thanks guys, super excited to finish up a few easy steps now and then not have to use mana to haste most of you in sky anymore! :D

Splorf seems like a really cool guy. I've met a few members of this guild in game, and well to put it nicely I think they should be called the Bteam. Maybe the B+ team on a good day.

Don't get me wrong they're better than the average TMO/FE member, and are certainly worth joining if you want to relax with other solid B+ EverQuest players. On top of all of that, they have really nice... guildchats? idk

So The A-Team tackled the Plane of Fear for the first time today (well aside from my solo attempts). On the whole it was straightforward; fear mobs have a lot of hp but don't hit that hard so it was just a matter of beating them down. We started with 8; once we got a cleric and up to 10-15 or so it was just a roflstomp. I think this stuff is a lot more challenging with an average level of 48 :D

Unfortunately we got 0 druid drops, carmine pants, and blighted boots. What we did get was practically a full suit of umbral armor, which all rotted. Between this and our two 41% haste belts I'm really wondering why we have no SKs :D Oh well, better luck next time!

Despite the summer malaise, The A-Team is spinning back up on our Monday Night EQ. We started out with 6 (and no enchanter) so we headed to Kithicor to do two Generals. By that point we actually had the people had the people to give Sky a shot, but FE had headed up there, and Lucabrazi's immortal words 'I don't want them' closed the door on that particular raid. FWIW I'm fine with people taking our Sky night as long as they wait till 10:30 EST or so, but I think we'll have the people next week.

So we headed down to Chardok which was relatively deserted. We haven't done the king successfully in a while (a fact which certain parties have been gloating over in RnF) so we made a few mistakes but in the end we won an absolutely epic battle.

I'm not going to claim it was the cleanest fight, but it was a ton of fun, and we did it with a L53 cleric healing/buffing (no bp either!) with a lot of Torpor thrown in. It was absolutely one of the highlights of my time on this box (sadly the only screenshots I have are of Sakuragi buried in the overking's crotch).

After that we pulled the Queen without issue. We lost a few players to fatigue but the rest of us decided to stay for the next round. We amused ourselves by killing the Prince for Nordenwatch's 12th alt's epic and came back to find that the King wasn't holding anything and the Queen was wearing the Insignia protector! No epic battles this time; we had an extra rogue and a L50 charmed pet (royals farmers can thank us later) and 30 minutes later we were rolling on the loot up at the safe spot.

Despite the summer malaise, The A-Team is spinning back up on our Monday Night EQ. We started out with 6 (and no enchanter) so we headed to Kithicor to do two Generals. By that point we actually had the people had the people to give Sky a shot, but FE had headed up there, and Lucabrazi's immortal words 'I don't want them' closed the door on that particular raid. FWIW I'm fine with people taking our Sky night as long as they wait till 10:30 EST or so, but I think we'll have the people next week.

So we headed down to Chardok which was relatively deserted. We haven't done the king successfully in a while (a fact which certain parties have been gloating over in RnF) so we made a few mistakes but in the end we won an absolutely epic battle.

So the A-Team had a bit of a sloppy night in Sky due to the Keeper spawning really quickly while we were busy porting everyone's multiple toons up. We killed Gorgalosk without any pets and a solid 35 dps from our enchanters:

After that near disaster we moved on and cleared four and five. We nearly wiped again when Kloktor pulled two Vanquishers and their four guards, but Loraen was saved out of low HP aggro . . . twice. Then we took our shot at the Spiroc Lord.

Final Score: Spiroc Lord down with 10 players, 5 survivors. A server record maybe? Anyway he dropped the Paladin belt for Corova! We then Sirranized our second SL with Azzudnue tanking because I charmed Sirran late and he beat up Sakuragi. It's strange but I enjoy these raids where things aren't totally smooth; it's more fun when we aren't roflstomping.

If we can get Sky back into a nice rhythm hopefully we can resume bringing sky gear to the masses (for a reasonable price!) now that Eabon is done with his open sky raids.

The Spiroc Lord hit the dust again, and coughed up yet another Wind Totem (wtf). On our second pull Sirran depopped 5 seconds after we tagged him, but we still got him to 30% with 13 . . . kind of a moral victory? Well we tell ourselves that.

We'd definitely love another 5-6 players on any given day (pretty much any class) so if you are 55+ and have the skills say hi!

Once again we are getting tons of loot that we don't need: Miumiu bought a sky cloak, and drops for the Shilleagh, Paladin 41% belt, and Ranger shoulders all rotted from the Spiroc Lord :( Finally we got some Shaman Shoulders for Svenn. Why don't they just delete those classes from the game? The world wants to know. In the mean time, hit up the A-Team Sky Sales thread.

We had about 10 for most of the night. I'd like about 15, so we're definitely looking for a few more players!

sorry im a newb when it comes to raid mobs. ive seen 19 people barely survive spiroc lord so im just trying to figure out why you guys can do it with 7. ive never seen charms used so maybe thats the biggest diff.

And yes charm is the difference, 350 dps is like 5 extra monks, plus they enraged tanked the last bit.

As Loraen said, we could probably do it with 5. NPCs are a lot stronger relative to live. Non-humanoids can DW here which is being fixed. It's a large part of why charm is so strong as well.

The A-Team took out Maestro today!! We had a rather rough time between our inexperience getting places quickly in hate, several annoying lag spikes, and a stupid running thought destroyer that aggroed about 10 mobs.

Aside from a few monk casualties, our first pull went great! You can see my pet mezzed while I quivered in fear of the lag monster, and me preparing to use every clicky in the book (I did end up burning a strings charge because . . . I can).

The fight itself wasn't too bad despite his quadding on our iksar tank. We were all pretty happy just to get a shot at him, mostly because both TMO and Divinity gave us free run of the zone and I guess every other guild assumed that one of them had taken him out. So, a big thanks guys. Sadly Sakuragi did not pick up a hand, but aside from the lag (may the asshole behind that spend an eternity in the company of Beelzebub and all his fiendish instruments of torture) we had a great time!

So we've been having rather low attendance lately (probably some combination of Breaking Bad, football, and school restarting) for sky, so we went to Sebilis instead. Originally I was just going to powerlevel (err group with) some of our lower level members, but the only thing open was the spore king. So we summoned up a few friends to fill our ranks. It turned out some poor souls had left up a king for us to take a crack at. After we killed him we got a little bit overconfident and had another gater (we never learn, I guess). We were CRing when we noticed that the king had respawned! So we had our dead paladin/bard log on their shamans for triple shaman goodness (2/3 skeleton shamans, AG needs to hook Grizluk up):

We finally managed to kill the second king (with his 3 adds, cause we were monkless), but unfortunately we got about 4 more adds, so we wiped again. All in all a super fun time. Adaar was so impressed by our multiple wipes he joined our guild on the spot! You stay classy Norrath.

So as mentioned earlier in this thread, we've been a bit quiet lately; a lot of our members are taking classes or getting jobs and such. Which is good! But after a month or so of not really doing anything hard, we're spinning up again. Our first kill was due to the Canadian Connection: a would-be xp group in the Hole got DTed by Yael. So we teamed up with FE. Somehow our shamans and druids took all the DTs:

He dropped one robe and one girdle, which is about as good as that gets (plus Cripp and I tied for the win with 91, and then I won the rolloff with 40 vs 38, so grats me). After that we headed to Chardok. We were all a bit rusty, but we managed to kill the Overking anyway, and almost had the Queen if it wasn't so late. We had another one of those more or less epic 10 minute fights (only half as long as our record!) after we let him CH once (forgot to take a picture):

What can I say, he has really high AC and I had torpor. After this I went to coh Xoquil and when I got back the zone was empty. It turns out it crashed and the corpse poofed (but the king didn't respawn, which seemed distinctly unfair). Fortunately Derubael was on the job. It turns out that GMs can't tell what a corpse has until it's looted, so hopefully Sirken will give us our three pairs of cleric gauntlets soon.

The A-Team continued our spin up by taking out Isles 1-3 in Sky (we didn't do four as we didn't feel like waiting over an hour for that stupid timer.

Our only hiccup was on two . . . because we didn't have a single FD class of any sort until Sixsix finally showed up to rescue us. After that things went smoothly again. So yeah, we are probably the only guild on the server that actually wants monks.

Wanted to thank everyone in the guild for a blast of a time on my first outing with you all to sky. Other than the fact that I completely forgot what was on island 2-4 (been months) and made a few silly mistakes it went pretty well.

Cleared through 5 and the Spiroc Lord. Sakuragi went down with the Lord at around 50%ish...then I got to tank the spiroc lord with my very own cheal chain...that's right MONK CHEAL CHAIN! Wooo! lol :)

Tanked him from 50%ish down to 19% then I died, then the pets took care of the rest.

Last week TMO decided to randomly raid sky a few hours late, so we were unable to get in our normal raid. We recorpsed a few key players and did other things. Unfortunately we were not counting on daylight savings time! All our keys were wiped, so but Fingon and Thulack of Taken graciously agreed to tag a trigger for us (Thulack even manged this without dying as a ranger). It seems this was a karmic boost for him, as he picked up the sky cloak about two hours later :D After that we headed on to 5:

After this Taken ported up and graciously gave us a shot at the Overseer and let us tag along for the Hand. They offered to let us roll guild by guild for loot, but as it happened the efreetis dropped utter shit - not a single good item between them :( Unfortunately by the time we finished with the efreetis it was pretty late and we just left the Bees up. Hopefully we'll get another shot at them soon.

We are really hoping the devs make these repops a script - we had fun even though we didn't get much of anything in the way of pixels. It's a great way to let the more casual players (read: people who hate tracking) get a shot at a raid target every now and again.

Also, we continue to do our normal farming stuff. I really wish Howling Stones East had drops comparable to South or the Crypt - its just a fun and really hard zone. Double L52 monk pets was pretty badass as well:
