I'm sure this is a known issue! But...

2003 (http://www.tski.co.jp/baldio/patch/20031218.html)

We have added a new combat ability windown which allows you to make up to eight hot keys for disciplines and other new melee abilities and displays any current melee effects. The window can be opened by pressing Alt+C. The keys are accessible using either the mouse or Ctrl+1-8.

This discipline window isn't classic and wasn't added until after GoD expansion on live. Players had to type out /discipline Fortitude.

If you could disable it, that would be fantastic.

Was it even possible to know if your disciplines were ready? That sounds like the mindbogglingly bad design we've all come to know and love from Verant.

you would try to use it and it would respond with how many minutes were left before you could use it unless it worked

"Yendor, weaponshield disc up?"

"I-I'm not sure... has it been 72 m--"

"Statue of Rallos Zek INCOMING, TANK IT YENDOR!"

Yendor has been slain by Statue of Rallos Zek!

Screw you, EQ devs.

Thats what you see when you try to disc when it isn't up.

Yes, but if it IS up you burned your disc. I think elethia is trying to tell me that you /disc any-random-text-thatisn't-valid and then it'll will tell you the reuse timer?

Nah, just saying /disc should be standard instead of fancy buttons from a menu :p

Could be, never played a melee with discs back in the day.

^ This is what the /disc command returns if you do not specify a specific disc.

In classic you either had to set a timer of some sorts for your disc or risk it not being up or you burning it when trying to see if there was a timer still. Having the combat ability window gives you the advantage of knowing when your disc is ready because the button will pop up. Having hotkeys for /disc weaponshield didnt give you a refresh pop.

I mean you can still make the hotkeys for them with or without the menu. As posted above /disc gave you a timer after you used a disc.

My harm touch button is kinda buggy, and I have really no idea if it's up or not, until I accidentally hit myself for 60-something damage.
