Didn't level up my research ---now I suffer for my 49 spells.

As an enchanter, any mobs you kill at like lvl 46+ will be dropping nilitim pages. You can keep one research book on you. and loot ALL nilitim pages as you exp/play. And trust me they drop ALOT, especially in places like seb/kc/chardok/solb all the major 46-60 exp spots. Just loot them as they come, if your in a decent group you could be looting a page every 2-3 kills. Just spam combine them as you get them and your skill will go up even though you fail most combines. I did this with my enchanter basically, I dumped about 75 points into it then took 2 weeks worth of raid/exping bagged words and put them on my enchanter and went to town combining 1-3 stacks of each words to skill up. In the end I nearly hit max research. I will hit you up in game if you still need something combined.

Allure? Cajoling should be fine until you get Boltrans at 53
Shiftless Deeds? Tepid Deeds as good for less mana until you get Forlorn Deeds
Color Skew? Get Color Slant at 52 as drop. Use Color Shift until then. Though nice
to have all three for chain stunning.
Paralyzing Earth? Can be purchased at OT and upgrade to Fetter later on.

Memblur spells are only ones without reps.

Hoard those pages as you level and just keep dumping them into your tome.
Faded pages are great because you get extra skillups for converting those.

All of this. The only redeeming quality of allure is the reduced mana consumption versus boltrans.

I don't know if they fixed it but I bought most of the research skill on my toon; granted he was like 35 so, either way can always dump a few PP into buying skill-ups

Sweet thanks for this too - am new to the chanter class.
I was after allure to get my OT hammer! Cajoling can't charm the undead foremen.
With DE illusion/invs I can othammer/sell/bank then gate back to my spot.

really the only reason why - cajolings can charm the mobs I want to kill atm.
