Haven't spent any skill pts yet cuz everything sounds cool. I was thinking of doing Archery and Beast Taming or something like that. The admins gave me a house that I can use for 2 weeks. after that i am on my own.

Nice! Archery not bad. Bard skills like provoke and shit are EQ enchanter charm like OP'd. Bad PVP skills though...most people have a PVE character, tradeskill char and a PVP char that focuses on 1 offensive weapon skill and a lot of magic and magic resist type things

Well you will need money to buy regs to train magic to kill people with. Pretty much need really high magic and resist magic to not get fucked up pretty fast in the PVP.

UO had some of the best pvp / griefing of every online MMO ever made.

Murder someone. Cut their bodies into pieces. Take their head with you for a souvenir.

Steal their House key. Steal every thing they owned.

Actual stealing from other players bags.. i would steal people gate spell reagents then murder them whle they frantically tried to figure why their spell wouldnt cast.

I tried to play it again for nostalgia but it just looks too fucking ugly now.

Pitborn summed it up quite nicely. You add all that grief and combine it with the fact there was no such thing as a PVP server (you had no fucking choice) and it was just....awesome.

Everyone had a murder on the side, you would just macro off the kills.

But people who had a fast connection were the kings of UO pvp. That plus if you used UOassist, the last target and precast were over powered.
