You're thinking of the auction tracker maybe? Which logs OOC wts/wtb on blue.

This tool allows you to manage your own WTB/WTS lists, search for specific items for sale and message people..

Items that are listed WTB/WTS will be set inactive after 10 days to prevent clutter and those items can easily be reactivated..

Being on a mac helps me forget IE exists :)

At a previous job doing mostly front end development the one thing I hated the most was IE... Firefox and Chrome everything worked beautifully... IE was always a bitch.. to get the HTML/CSS to work the same in all browsers... FML.

Pulled it up on my iPad. Good clean interface, works well.

Would like to see a longer search history option, even if its just specific to an item. Like I searched for "diamond" on red and 0 results found. Maybe just automatically keep the last 5 results regardless of how long ago it was?

Perhaps find a way to parse the auction forums and add those as well?

Just tossing some ideas out.

Kergan

Probably would help if people auctioned with prices, hardly anyone does that its such a PITA. Even if its the starting point of a negotiation. Maybe just add those in somehow as being sold but no price given or something.

Great tool

Is there a way to filter for items sold on red?

Kergan
05-19-2014, 02:16 PM
If you do a search by item it gives you the option for red or blue. The main page with recent items has a list for just red too.

Why would you be curious to see a diamond that is not currently for sale? I guess I was trying to keep things "current" so you're not finding shit like you would on the forums that is no longer for sale... (not trying to come off rude or anything, just trying to see your point of view so I can make the tool better for everyone!)

Also there probably hasn't been a diamond listed for sale on Red yet... need more people using the tool to make it better for everyone. Best way to do this is to create your WTB/WTS lists, keep them updated and tell your buddies to make their trade lists!

Parsing the auciton forums would be a huge PITA since no one follows a similar format etc..

Please though.. keep the suggestions coming! In the next day or so, I plan to create a WTB/WTS page for Blue/Red that shows all current items that are actively listed...

I guess it depends if you want to use this tool for more than just viewing items currently for sale. For me, if I have a cobalt bracer for sale and I'm deciding if I'm gonna keep it or sell it, I will generally search the forums and see what they normally go for.

I could see a tool like this that is going to have the history of sales somewhere in the database being useful in that regard.

Yea I can easily store and create a formula based on what people are selling / offering for specific items.

I kind of see what you mean.. I could make the search show the items with stats like I mentioned above.. and below put who is actually selling/buying it..

Something like that?

Only thing is... I need MOAR people using the tool to gather MOAR data :)

I think making it simple - just list the last 5 for sale when you search for a particular item and include the dates/character selling. People will know if its from 42 days ago its probably not available anymore.

hmm lets see, the world only relies on Microsoft for about 100 other apps, but for some reason the browser that they built specifically for their very own operating system is somehow flawed? I think not.

You can jump on the fear bandwagon and support some other shitty browser, but its got nothing on IE.

Each browser has it's ups and downs. I just prefer IE, then Opera, then Chrome, in that order.

PS. The search function on this thing is inadequate, rendering it pretty useless unless you are after a specific item.

Microsoft Admits to Huge Security Flaw in Internet Explorer (http://time.com/78828/internet-explorer-microsoft-security-flaw/) -- super common with IE. I will also guess you don't do any front end development and have no idea what you're really talking about here?

That's the point... to search for a specific item.. I am open to ideas.

I am considering making an item page for each item.. to show basic stats, link out to wiki and have WTB / WTS beneath it so when you search for an item that has no WTB/WTS atleast something pops up..

Something like this probably ain't going to be flooded by auctions given the low population on this server. I am currently in the situation of gearing up a shaman, necro, monk, bard and a warrior. What would be really great for me if if I could make wider searches; ie. entering a partial term such as "loam" to display all loam pieces up for auction, or search for a specific slot. Knowing I need boots for my monk for example I don't want to search through each potential item, possibly forgetting several along the way.

Searching for "loam" will now display items w/ loam in the name or you can use auto complete to search for a specific item.

Right now it only shows current items for sale.. trying to decide if I'd want to display item links for all items linking to their own page...
