Raenys <Nihilum> Perm Ban?

So, after a hiatus of about 4 months I've returned to P99 Red to find a character of mine stripped and deleted.

Raenys <Nihilum>, a person with a squeeky clean rep who I trusted implicitly, was the only other person who had access to an Ogre SK twink we were going to twink and powerlevel together.

I accumulated about ~100k in gear, the SK was level 8 and ready to dominate. Long story short, character was stripped and deleted sometime during my break. Raenys refuses to respond to my PMs in-game, so I'd thought I'd take the community's advice...

Do we really need to waste Derubael's time tracking down a bunch of twink gear, and perm banning a level 60 epic cleric? Nihilum should step up, for their own sake, and replace what was stolen.

Mith Arms + Legs
Darkforge Armor
Plat Jac Rings + 5/55 Rings
Froggy Crown
Black Saphhire Ears/Neck
Weighted Axe
Circlet of Shadows
etc, etc

Basic newbie twink gear. I'm not asking a lot.

Back when I played EQ (beta-luclin) matters like these were handled by the player-base. Toxic, thieving assholes were punished via ostracization and shunned from joining guilds, due to their reputation alone. Additionally, bans meant something. That's $50, subscription fees, and a host of lost characters.

Unfortunately times have changed. Bans mean little, as accounts are free and infinite. Reputation matters not, as the guilds on this server openly recruit toxic players due to a limited population size. The lack of societal pressure to be honorable and honest combined with half-hazard punishment leads to behavior like this.

There are a few issues here including ownership, as you mentioned it is a shared account. What character did you use to farm the items acquired on this shared character?

Due to the holes in your post, I would be more inclined to believe this is an attempt at trolling the forums or defaming Nihilum for a matter that is dubious at best.

If this is legitimate, it should always be handled via the petition forums as there are most likely 2 sides to a story and it should not be a public affair unless it was a clear act done in malice. For example if you acquired an AON through DKP and loaned it to a guildy only to have them never return it on request even though that was the initial agreement. In your post, there is only mention that the character is level 8, and I do not believe you can farm for gear worth that much in trades until at least level 30.

In my entire career on P99 Blue and Red, I've never stolen an item from anyone, screwed over anyone, or cheated/lied/blackmailed to get ahead. I'm sure Checkraise and other former Red Dawn members can attest that I'm not a liar, nor scumbag.

I have no dog in the Nihilum-Azrael agendas. I play for fun, and have little time to re-farm all of that lost gear. It's a shame, I wish I could play EQ 24/7, but alas I have a full time job and real life responsibilities.

I did follow the proper channels. I contacted Raenys in-game on multiple characters. I contacted Nizzarr and other high-ranking Nilly officers, who were little help (understandably, they had no clue on such a trivial matter - I don't blame Nilly as a guild at all).

Why would I make this up? I'm that desperate to get a Weighted Axe I'd throw my own rep down the drain with an absurd, outrageous lie? A lie in front of all the GMs who can verify all of this information easily?

This is the truth. I hope a resolution can be found, but as none were forthcoming privately, this was the only avenue to get the issue resolved promptly.

This game turns people wicked. I've seen it dozens of times. Some of these people would slit their own mothers throat for a CoF. Samwise has been stripped twice and I've only loaned him out to a handful of people. RIP all those illusions pots :(

I'll say this about account sharing though. The problem really lies when people you share an account with share the account with someone else. Soon 14 people will have your infos and all accountability is out the window.

Until nilly removes the Graverobber and other account strippers, I can't help but think that kind of behavior is encouraged and rewarded.

So what does this all mean?

Churm = Raenys

EPHEDRINE = A transfer toon on Ephedrine's account. Didn't look to see if it was actually Ephedrine assisting in the transfer.

Raenys Logged into OP's Shadow Knight, drop transferred off some of his gear on the 27th of February. Then in mid-March, Raenys again logged into OP's Shadow Knight and took the rest of the items (leaving a few worthless trinkets on the toon) by transferring them through a transfer toon on Ephedrine's account (that character was then deleted), and then to his Enchanter, Churm. Raenys then deleted the SK.

Stop. Sharing. Account. Information.

OP, if you want your SK restored, there are still a few items (though admittedly they are not worth much) left on the character. Petition in the petition/exploit forum and we will restore it.

I dont get why it was necersary to delete a lvl 8 but that is not really hard to recreate, especially right now. Stripping is not encouraged by nihilum nor is it required to give your login Info to anyone. Did the OP really pay 100k for those rags ?

I dont get why it was necersary to delete a lvl 8 but that is not really hard to recreate, especially right now. Stripping is not encouraged by nihilum nor is it required to give your login Info to anyone. Did the OP really pay 100k for those rags ?

The situation is not clear cut as the OP indicates this is a shared mule, which includes mutual time/gear investment. If this were true, then it would be ~15k worth of gear depending on who farmed what.

It is a messy situation that needs feedback from both sides of the story. 15k is not something that justifies stereo typing an entire guild for or trying to extort 100k from the guild bank, which is used to fund peridots, sky/hate stones and potions. I've given away easily over 100k worth of gear in my time on R99 and am currently loaning a Tstaff to a guildy. I'm sure there are good and bad eggs in every batch.

I have offered to provide replacements for some of the items taken if Arcade could PM me on his main, but have not gotten any PMs on the forum or in game on Skar.

I'm keen on moving forward rather than digging up dirt on people and labelling an entire guild as account strippers and scum.

Seriously you guys need to loosen up, there is way too much hate over a game and you are undermining all the GMs hard work by constantly digging up skeletons.

To confirm:

My character was stripped and deleted.

All of the items came from ME, not RAENYS (Daer, mind confirming this? You'll see ALL of those items coming from Grammy/Arcade, NONE of them coming from Raenys.)

So what does this all mean?

Churm = Raenys

EPHEDRINE = A transfer toon on Ephedrine's account. Didn't look to see if it was actually Ephedrine assisting in the transfer.

Raenys Logged into OP's Shadow Knight, drop transferred off some of his gear on the 27th of February. Then in mid-March, Raenys again logged into OP's Shadow Knight and took the rest of the items (leaving a few worthless trinkets on the toon) by transferring them through a transfer toon on Ephedrine's account (that character was then deleted), and then to his Enchanter, Churm. Raenys then deleted the SK.

Stop. Sharing. Account. Information.

OP, if you want your SK restored, there are still a few items (though admittedly they are not worth much) left on the character. Petition in the petition/exploit forum and we will restore it.

I'm amazed that anyone would trust anyone in nihilum looking at their disgusting roster filled with people whom at one point or another has betrayed lots of people that cared for them. It's all a pile of misfits that have been forced together under one tag with a guildleader that has one goal, and that's to win. He doesn't give 3 fucks if you have scammed him over 5 times before like Heartbrand has, it's all about gathering numbers to win by that measure. Churm = Raenys

EPHEDRINE = A transfer toon on Ephedrine's account. Didn't look to see if it was actually Ephedrine assisting in the transfer.

Raenys Logged into OP's Shadow Knight, drop transferred off some of his gear on the 27th of February. Then in mid-March, Raenys again logged into OP's Shadow Knight and took the rest of the items (leaving a few worthless trinkets on the toon) by transferring them through a transfer toon on Ephedrine's account (that character was then deleted), and then to his Enchanter, Churm. Raenys then deleted the SK.

Yaw red dawn 1.0 with the big dracoliche kill ya all. got bcgs up to my yarmulke. Literally every item in red dawn 2.0 other than quest items (the ones auctioned) were done via bid dkp at the time they dropped and are still visible on the dkp site. What did I get? About 260k+ of spending, couple of trak bps given away, vs greaves, tons of seb loot, gems, etc. Literally the only thing I ever "profited" from two guilds was a Rez staff that I haven't even touched and to be quite honest isn't even particularly good.

There are a number of people don't join Nihilum over Azrael because they are 'nut-huggers' for pixels, but because they have been legitimately burnt or have a strong dislike for people that are guilded in Azrael.

this issue was perpetrated by someone with a Nihilum tag and guild leadership apparently declined to get involved with this, whereas whatever went down with you and Vincents, I don't have any idea how this has to do with Azrael. never seen him with a tag, and haven't seen him in teamspeak ever since I rejoined which was immediately after RD dissolved.

Also, shitty thing to fuck over Pikrib, once of the most helpful guys in Red Dawn. And yea while, you may not have gained anything plat/item-wise in red dawn 2.0, and while you certainly complained of the heartache, we all know that you actually enjoy helping others and leading a guild (which is a totally normal thing!) - you gained a lot out of the experience that way. PLUS i bet if you could do it again, you probably would have. I think most people enjoyed being in RD, it was a fun run. That experience is what you got out of it, so thanks for that, don't make it seem like you were just taken advantage of the entire time and everyone owes you shit. nobody forced you to do what you did - you chose it. Take some ownership for this pikrib situation and make it right dude.

That's not how I heard it went down. Something along the lines of "I got stripped of 100k worth of gear, I don't want to see Raenys banned, so give me 100k and we will call it square". That's extortion, if anyone didn't notice. Plat from the guild bank is contributed to by all players in Nihilum (through the purchase of dropables at highly subsidised prices for alts and selling of excess bank gear externally) and is used to cover our Guild Raid (PvE and PvP) reagents.

Over 516,000 separate works of art were stolen or destroyed with 11,000 of the paintings being of polish origin. All of this equates of 43% of the polish peoples total culture heritage being lost or stolen. The entire upper echelon of the Nazi party was involved in these thefts. Some of the Nazi’s, under the guise of “racial purification” were trying to fatten their bank accounts and pad their own art collections on the backs of the people they had sent to their deaths.

As previously stated not only were works of art taken, but buildings also were destroyed in the quest to rid Europe of any trace of degenerate people and any trace of their culture. Along with the terrible looting of art in Poland there was large scale destruction of architecture across the country during the Nazi’s quest to rid the world of the Jewish race. Although they believed that Krakow (Poland’s second largest city) was Germanic and left it largely untouched, they viewed Warsaw as a city filled with degenerates and believed that it must be destroyed. They laid waste to Warsaw and destroyed over 70% of the city including its architecture, medieval churches and buildings of historical significance. This was not only murder and destruction but a systematic dismantling of an entire culture and their history. The Nazi’s wanted no trace of these people left on this earth.
If the Nazi’s had succeeded in their goal of the total extermination of the people they deemed degenerate, the world would be an incredibly different place. We would have lost countless people, invaluable works of art, literature and architecture that could never be replaced. Works of art done by masters of the craft such as Pablo Picasso, Van Gough and Henri Matisse would have been erased from our world. This would of left such a cultural vacuum that the void could never again be filled.

The Nazi’s committed countless crimes against the people of the world. The effect that they had on us has changed our society forever. The destruction was so great of not only human lives but objects of cultural significance that it makes this great crime impossible to ignore or to ever forget. 70 years on we have holocaust deniers, Neo-Nazi’s and genocide. The youth is quick to dismiss the holocaust as an isolated incident that happened so long ago that it has no bearing on their lives. I think having this type of attitude is doing yourself and the world a great disservice for lest we forget that history repeats itself and demands that we always be vigilante to make sure something like this never happens again.

We've also come up with a system to do full on eqemu account resets in case you've forgotten EVERYTHING, but I have to do them by hand so they take time, and we're still hashing out the details. That should be coming soon though.

For 90% of people, the current SMS/LS/Emu link system should work to recover lost accounts. We've already had a ton of people take advantage of it and get their lost accounts back.

NEVER trust someone to "escrow" anything UNLESS you know them.

If you give out your password to someone, you are responsable for the items that goes missing. The chain exp deaths or anything thing else that happens to you. Don't expect us to track people down you gave your information to.

As to the claims of extortion, I implore Niz to post a log of my tells to him. All I asked is if he could contact Raenys and let him know I wanted my stuff back - never ever asked to be reimbursed by him or anyone else.

As to the value of the gear, I apologize that my "about ~100k" was slightly inflated beyond the actual value. That simply was not my intention. This was a long time ago, many items were more rare and expensive than they are now (Red Dragon Tooth, haste belt, etc). The time and effort was still immense, whether it was 100k or 50k.
