Bored @ work, Tell me your favorite PVP story

Need something to do at work. Try to keep trolling down to a minimum. What was your favorite PVP battle? Tell the story here.

My most memorable pvp battle was with Chewie. I was camping a spawn in lguk with a cleric buddy of mine. We were relatively low geared for our levels, so we were on constant /who watch for people in the zone. We knew it was risky venturing into Chewie's Lair, but we risked it for great treasure. Not 20 minutes into our loot-induced rage, /who showed a flower in zone. Not just "a" flower, but "THE" flower. He started by tearing my cleric a new asshole quickly and promptly. I whipped out my Argent Defender and went toe-to-toe with the beast, who quickly ended my life. Was my first notable YT (before there was YT) and logged for the night to try and CR when it was Chewie-less.

After like 20mins of this he says ill stop but youll have to port me to WC (cant remember exactly where) I say sure and port him to Dreadlands at 2am when its velious time and nobody is using the Kunark zones pretty much.

He kills me one last time, i laugh at him one last time

vallon zek server right at mid POP, top guild defiant pvp's first x-team guild Torrent in plane of tactics for first major brawl. It was 72 on 72. My old computer has a picture of one of the defiant clerics being chased by about 20 people. The fight lasted for over an hour, with combat rezzes and both sides stopping mid pvp to kill agro'ing mobs that had respawned. It was the weirdest and coolest shit i've ever experienced.

Another good memory from Classic days is the halloween event of 2001 on Rallos.

You had people pvping over event mobs in WC (sky turned purple and it spawned werewolves) and other zones. I did a who in EK and there was 205 players there.

There was an undead dragon in rathe mountains with an AOE that one shot me at lvl12 and people were dragging that dragon to the zone line, i had never seen such a huge amount of dead bodies on a floor before.

When that was all done, i had 8 or 9 pieces of no drop gear, i had lost 4 levels from dying to red mobs but i was ready to tackle the rallos twinks with my new gear!

Those 3 days are still the benchmark to me of what fun times can be in a MMO. The only thing that came close to this as a MMO experience is winning a fight 70 vs 120 in eve online during the Providence wars.

I still think this is the kind of events that should be created here on red. Marathons are cool and shit but nothing like spawning event mobs somewhere and letting players duke it out.

On R99, I had a few good ones, but the one that comes to mind is this one. I lost the fight, but held my own versus un-winnable odds and even escaped. The SK I was with did not, however.

Favorite moment was in Rathe Mountains. At the time Hurb and Irah were public enemy #1 for levelers in the 40s-50s. Some would call it their prime. I was runnin my usual game. Chillin and farmin some plat when my (pay attention noobs) /who bound to movement key spotted Hurb in zone for a second. I made a quick run to the lake ZL and zoned out and chilled for a few hoping they would think I left. You begin casting Gate.

Sure enough. They are there and just happened to bind right were they were sitting. I sent the pet in and went to town. Painted my first corpse flower that night. It was something special. Pure. After about 15ish kills I felt sorry for big hurb because he has the spirit inside him and I stopped gankin him, Irah logged after a few kills at bind. Fun times, really miss <Charles Bronson>

Two days after the launch of TZ I figured out that I could charm other characters. Soooooo I would charm elves and attack the guards with them. Classic!

My fav pvp moment is when tune + strydur sat on my corpse for 22 hours gaining dkp while i slept

When the server first opened having 400+ pop... my over powered earth pet with no guard assist made it hard for morans to go to the bank

Last night actually. Pick up group in kurns. 2 monks and a warrior. Some guy wasn't /anon so we figured we would gank him. We got him to like 14% before he even tried to run. Was funny because his reaction time was so slow, we thought he shit himself. Guy in our group said we gave him "a deep dick pizza". Was laughing so hard I cried. We have cash back and picked him up though. Was cool about getting smacked. Good times.

once you make someone log off (when GRIEF meant GRIEF) you could check /who all and see who was logging on
99% chance it was the same person trying to play an alt

then you log your alt and kill their alt
