Best way to get to Highhold Keep

I am about to hit level 8 on my high elf chanter and was wondering the best way to Highhold Keep so that I can buy my pet? I am currently in Gfay. This is my first character so I will have to make the run on him.

Can try to find a port to Misty thicket, then go Rivervale>Kithicor>Highpass>Highkeep
or West Commons>Kithicor>Highpass>Highkeep

if you can't find a port you can always run from Gfay to Butcherblock and take the boat to Freeport and go from there.

If you are afraid of death in High Pass you could make a level 1 halfling in rivervale, transfer some PP to him and have um do the run to HHK.

You need to have invis to run through Highpass to Highhold, or else you will die. Highpass is also a maze so you'll want to make sure you have studied a map and have it in front of you (unless you're going pure explorer style, props).

And you don't want run through Kithicor at night.

Is there anything that I would run across that can see through invis?

fastest way for good race and those that can invis is from

misty > rv > kith > hp > high hold keep

you can run through kith at night... just avoid the undead. you can see them from far off and they will see invis.

getting through the orcs in highpass also can be hard without invis below level 25, as some backstab/blind. you can easily make it with invisibility. they also will despawn by attacking the guards.

after that you pretty much just stick to slight rights, once you find the troll near the bridge and water, just snake through the thin canyon hugging the right wall, and boom, ur there in front.

I did...... I only noticed one undead at first and decided to try it. By the time i realized how many there were one jumped out of a tree.

running to highkeep is a rite of passage. in kithicor just hug walls, don't be a dummy and stay ivu, and once in highpass, know where youa re going and stay invis.

Always hug the north zone wall as tightly as possible. On low level toons i have almost always made it through agro free at night. If you do get agro up there it makes for easy CR as well.

I always run that way on low level characters--regardless of the time of day--as i have been destroyed when cutting through the heart of the zone by occasional undead that hasn't depopped on time, DE's that people are pulling/training, etc.

i always say:
1.) port invis and sow to NK
2.) run 2 mins NE to EK bridge
3.) run 5 mins up that winding gorge pass into highpass hold
4.) run quickly passed all the gnolls and 30s later you are in HHK

Kinda shitty when you only have invis vs undead because it's one of the few mobs that is alive during the overnight spawns.

Gfay to Freeport:
Take Boat or get port to West Commonlands

Get through Kith:
Wait for daytime.
or
If night time, hug right wall and stay high on wall until you get to Highpass.
I've never died doing this.

Get to Highhold keep (get past orcs).
If you're lucky a group or highlevel are killing orcs for you for the scalps.
or
Use Inviz to get past orcs
or
Wait until there are just a couple of them (they run
away randomly). Once just one or two, run them to the highpass citizens or
guards who will kill them for you. (risky)

Since your are good race, highkeep/highpass guards will like you.

I made that run on live during undead night spawns probably a hundred times and never died once, and made it on this server more than a dozen. Maybe I just got lucky.

Hahaha I almost didn't make it once. Tbqh I probably wasn't ALL the way up on the wall and agro'd from max range but best to be cautious anyways.

Wall still 100x safer than the path so your advice still stands.

This ... Its something every new player should have to go through. I remember my run from queynos very well. A group of us tried it,,, only the ranger made it. :)
