I never played on an EQ pvp server and I finally made an Iksar Shadow Knight tonight. I met some cool people, grouped, did some lvl 1 pvp and had a damn good time. I'm questing some Curscale armor and I'm loving every second. I can't wait to get some lvls and see what the pvp is really like! That and I need to get a camp in Droga one day for a COS!
See you in game

Welcome to Red, that exp penalty is going to hurt, but SK's are nice!!!

I recommend that you stay in Kunark until you train double attack, then buy all the spells you need for the next 20 levels and head to the mainlands.

Which if you can grab a duo or a couple buddies you should slam through to 20 in no time in that area, especially with the ridic ZEM in Kurns.

Exp was a little slow but not horrible, then I grouped and the Exp bar was flying! The group bonus is amazing. If everything works out I might even trade my blue for red plat/gear. My only concern is Velious raid mobs needing large numbers to take them down. Any concern or thoughts from the raiders?

So, any thoughts on Velious rading with a lower population? I actually never got to raid in Velious, just level through it but I have read people warning about how hard the mobs will be with a smaller player base.

on red we do more with less. where there is a will, there is a way.

Brave soul! Iksar Shadowknights are badass in velious but the penalty is so stupid until then. I think I'm (skar) the 3rd iksar sk to get 60 on r99, Beastagor was the 2nd.
People frequently comment how badass I look and I concur!!
If you need any banded crafted, add skar to your friends list and pst in game.

When Velious drops there will be more then enough players in the main guilds here to do every raid encounter there is to do.
Enjoy your stay!

I quit this server a few months ago. Came back last night for first time... Holy fuck what a difference. Groups everywhere, high lvls helping lower lvls. Big props to rogean, nilbog and the rest of the gms/guides for making this shit possible!

Finger.... In the butt... Anyways, SK has been fun but I'm starting to miss my Shaman on blue lol. So they might not be the best at pvp, but for grouping and soloing until I get high enough to be part of a larger pvp experience , it might be the better choice.
Shamnasty is now on Red!

SHMs are great in pvp, I feel like they are just one of the classes that usually have bad drivers for some reason.
