i wonder why there's 200+? maybe because its the ridiculous amount of bonus xp they added... 290%? are you crazy, bonus xp good but 290% will get ya 60 in a few days pumpin hot pockets and not trimming your neckbeard
that shits gonna get nerfed within 3 days, everyone trying to make the most of staffs mistake and that's obvious, it's probably 80% old neckbeards trying to get their third alt to pvp with for next weeks kc pvp

Finding a group before today was virtually impossible - much less a full group.
I haven't seen this much LFG text in a long time. I would like to believe that they wouldn't consider anything that they've done a mistake. This is still less than the bonus that was in 6 months ago for a solo level 30, so it's still a significantly different environment from the one they nerfed back in February.

ive been on box pretty much since launch and ive never seen an xp modifier above 1.5 (which i guess means 150%) and that was quick, 290 seems cray but if it means more pvp its good

The previous bonus was like 300% before nerf 1-50. This one is ONLY 290% if you have a full group. No reason to freak the eff out. lol PLAY THE GAME!

400% at level 1, 200% at 50+ with the old bonus.
Keep in mind, with the new 290% bonus, its split between 6 people. Example:
Mob gives 1000 xp. 6 people in group, 2.9 modifier. That's 3900/6 = 650, or a little over a 1/3 of what you'd get solo (which, with a .5 modifier, would be 1500).
With the old bonus that same mob would give 3000xp solo at level 50+. Or 5000 at level 1. I think we found a nice middle ground, and it's really encouraging people to group. We played with these numbers a lot, and the original plan was .2 per group member, but ultimately settled on .4 because of the way it was split between group members.

I saw 2 groups in most popular xp zones tonight. Shit was classic. Pras the GROUP bonus. Will be tapped into the matrix for as long as this lasts
I personally can not wait to see groups of mid 30's, low 40's doing Kobolds in Sol B ... something that would have been possible before the pvp level and FFA zone restrictions. STOKED !
Absolutely 0 groups doing kobolds in Sol B since i've been here.

I actually think the 0.2 per group member you had originally is slightly better because some of us not playing in the US timezones have to solo a lot and it means that when we meet up with our friends they are miles ahead of us! That, and also I hear "DING DING DING" over and over in guild chat lol.
Exp is a bit insane atm but after a month or 2 of terribad exp it's not too bad ;)

Isn't the max penalty you can get as an iksar/troll SK for example around 40%? So the .4 is nice in the sense that nobody will ever subtract exp per kill from another group member. I mean, I guess they won't get the max bonus but lack of addition isn't really subtraction.
Was there any thought given to removing hybrid penalties as part of this change? The whole concept is flawed, hybrids were originally supposed to be more in the vein of old school D&D multiclassing which made your character more powerful. They abandoned that very early in beta but it took until Velious to remove the penalty for some reason. We know it's coming anyway maybe just nuke it now so new players can just pick whatever they want without that consideration?
Not like its a big deal if it stays in, exp is still fast enough in a group that you don't notice it that much but I did notice a bit of hybrid bias happening last night like it does on blue.

No exp bonus on blue, red only. So in a sense leveling up with a bonus is red as fuck.

I think it just seems like a lot because it sucked so much before. We were used to getting 1% every 30 to 45 mins and that would be considered fast.
I want folks to zip to 46+ then slow em down around 55 or so.
