Here's your chance to apologize for being a punkass kid.
-----
On Sullon Zek a Rogue named Pokedme gave me his account info. I was like 12 or 13, and didn't have a grasp on morals yet. I took all of his gear and put it on my bard, Soundwav. Eventually a GM summoned me to a box, and was like "Where'd you get those bracers, pal?" and i was terrified, and banned.
I never got to say sorry to Pokedme for dicking him over and taking his shit.
Sorry, Pokedme. I was just an angsty pre-teen.

I'm sorry , self. You were just a kid. You didnt know that the top tier was full of greedy cheating adults that are nothing to aspire to.
I played a wizard on rallos zek. One day I met a warrior who was lfg and we spent part of the day killing aviaks together. I waited until he was low on health, blasted him, and took his skull shaped barbute. I think his name was Ramirez.
Sorry brah I was like 13 years old

I once spent about 2 hours FD training the higher level skeletons from the pit in Field of Bone onto lowbie groups at the opposite end. I was dropping whole groups like flies.
Halfway back to the lowbie end with a massive train in tow, I see a Guide spawn in the pit with her back to me. I FD'd at her feet, and the skeletons attacked her. She must have been typing or doing something for someone else at that moment, because the skeletons managed to kill her before she could react.
Found myself booted a few minutes later. My apology is to the 30+ newbie Iksars I killed.

I'm sorry I stole your CCoM when I was 13, Calima, luckily the GMs straightened that out.
In no way proud of this and I was about 14 ... I was in a high end guild and was getting tired of being poor, one of the members let me borrow their amulet of necropentence (or however you spell it) so I could turn into a skele .... I gated and sold it for like 600k no joke .... I then bought multiple items off people in the bizarre so the trail was scattered everywhere ... I logged on my old account for kicks about two weeks ago and still have all the amazing items I bought... I never got in trouble for it , I don't remember who it was but I've always felt bad about it ... It was on vallon zek , I apologize if the person reading this was you. I was young and immature. I believe that move to this day is the reason I have so much bad luck in game. I'm sorry.

I used to get people to show me their gear in trade screen before linking was introduced as a con to get them to drop their Wurmslayer.. I'd then bolt over the side of Kelethin and die, leave it on the body for 4-5 days, and then come loot it... This was back when Wurmslayers were worth a lot of platinum, and I was poor.
GMs would never think to check the bodies, so I never got banned.. I have always felt bad for the 3-4 Wurmslayers I stole.. They were nobody specific, just people who had nice gear and a wurmslayer.. Nobody knew about the "GIANT" thing making it auto drop to the ground..
Sorry warriors of Xegony. If I could somehow fix it, I would.
to all those people with SoW or jboot's..
As I flew by you almost breaking the sound barrier, I'm sorry I didn't take pity upon you slow moving folk and invite you to join me in a group so you could feel what real speed was like.

Shippoh from Bertox/Terris, I am sorry for making fun of you so much for being a 1/2ling paladin.
To all the rangers from the time someone told me they sucked until Shadows of Luclin, I am also sorry.
To Dwarec Mercs, sorry I canceled my app like 2 months into it, Star Wars Galaxies took over my soul about that time.
To Clan Ta Veren, I am sorry I did not follow you all to The Horde on the Lothar server. Sorry but I needed my elves.
While I am kinda in the right era, but wrong game to do this: Noss, I am sorry I hunted your Jedi. You were just a job, nothing more.
To Kujikage Ryu, I am sorry for falling asleep in that Plane of Hate raid and made you all get my corpse along that wall 8 or so hours later.... or was it Infinity Watch?
To the group last week who I was grouping with on my Wizard.. sorry about Gating out, I thought I hit the Evac macro, but it was gate.
I feel so much better already because of this thread.

Also, when Luclin first came out you could levitate the bazaar PC merchants.. and at the time if you got under them when they were on the "down" movement during their up and down floating.. you could move them incrementally. We moved like 30 - 50 PC merchants a day into the arena and slayed them.

I've got nothing. I always thought that there were 2 types of people in this world: those who go out of their own way to fuck someone else over (think Red99) and those who do not.
...buuut I've had friends from both camps. And this one time...
Look, this isn't an apology. If anything, this is glorifying the bad and mocking the good. But here it is, anyway:
Back around Luclin timeframe, a friend asks if I can invis others. She is mad at her guild, and wants to part ways, but not without a final fond fuck you farewell.
She logs on the guild cleric(errbody in the guild had the account name/password) then has me invis her in field of bone.
Deletes all of her gear.
Deletes epic too.
Has a third person pull all of the monk GMs to zoneline.
Binds herself in the court of pain
stays logged in all night
The end. The guild ends up falling apart due to drama queens and infighting.

This would have been prior to Kunark launch, or right around same time one. My sister who had started me on the game, split up with her boyfriend, who was pretty hard core into the game, and she gave me her account and quit.
Well turns out he used her bank for his personal storage, I'm maybe level 13 on my highest character at the time, I got a FBSS, Hammerhead helm, and i'm sure a half dozen other items that I sold for plat on the faymart for I'm sure well under what they were worth.
Guy asked me about the stuff, I told him I have no clue what he's talking about as I stand there on my ranger suddenly equipped in full ivy etched and wearing half of the other gear rather than banded....
Not really an apology, I suppose, but I do sympathize with him over it lol.
Side note, in hind sight I realized he was using MQ to view loot tables in Lower Guk one time when I was over at their place. Was too much of a noob to realize what he was doing then.

I played a rogue on VZ. Never got him above level 24 but I played him all the time. In fact, I had about 30 days played. Many of my hours were spent luring elves over to the Lfay zoneline, promising them 12 crushbone belts for 10 platinum (quite the steal at the time as 1pp a piece was standard.) They came, my friend and I killed them, and then we stole their platinum. I am sorry elves.
P.S. - I'm not actually sorry.

Narninate and I back in the Kunark days (we were both like 13 years old) used to do the trade bug where you canceled trade and because it was filled with too many items for their inventory it just dumped it onto the ground. We picked up at least a Fungi that way...and a LOT of other stuff worth their weight in plat.
I have no names, but I feel kinda bad about it. In my defense I had just came from Ultima Online where that shit was revered.

Before I had the game installed I would go over to a friend's and watch him play EQ after school and we would unpause N64 whenever his char needed to med/heal up. That day he was playing his low level gnome caster in WC and a duo was killing the Nightfall Giant near the druid rings which, when it died, fell right on top of his gnome, hiding him completely from sight. After 2min the duo didn't loot up and the corpse was past the 5minute marker. So my friend looked at me after right-clicking the body and asked if he should loot its head. I said, of course loot it, but he was still contemplating.
After about 30sec he looted the head and backed away from the corpse just as it was disappearing. A few seconds later one of the duo'd players said in /say I saw you just ninja our shit! (or something to that effect) Both of us looked at each other and started panicking a little. But for whatever reason the duo didn't notice my friend's gnome really. They thought another player, who was also somewhat close by, had ninja looted the head.
As the duo began threatening that guy, saying how they were already petitioning him, my friend slowly backed his gnome away into a small crowd that had gathered around and then ran off to EC. We both agreed it would be better to wait a few days before putting the head in auction. He was never caught.
To the duo on the Tunare server and to the guy who got falsely accused/petitioned...my bad.

During the Kunark era right before Velious I scammed quite a few people on live. Just used the classic "Give me the money and I'll get on my main that has the FBSS" trick, I honestly couldn't believe it worked the first time, and I was really loling when it worked the 2nd-15th time. The very last guy finally logged our convo and reported me for scamming, the GMs took the plat back and suspended me for 24-48 hours. But I did get away with all the other scamming.
So...if you played on E'ci and got scammed out of 8-10k for an FBSS by a nameless newbie in EC (no idea what the names of the alts were that I used), sorry. I don't feel bad TBH, you were dumb enough to fall for the weakest scam ever devised.
It all worked out for the best though, all that money bought me some good twink gear for a rogue. My friend at the time went insane with jealousy and begged me for weeks to play said rogue. When i finally let him play he basically took over the account, I eventually only logged in so I could put the rogue into absurd places to mess with my friend. After a couple months i canceled the subscription...then spent my teenage years outside of the house. I am forever grateful for my friends greed and jealousy...because without it I might have spent several years of my teenage life playing this awful game.

lol I was in OOP, my character's name was Opoopo Pooflinger, lol...was a troll shaman. I had a guide on Veeshan (before it split to Saryn) send me a tell and ask me how I was leveling up so fast because I was one of the highest Iksars at the time. I told him about how Dalnir was broke at the time and it was easy exp (the mobs then were not using their poison attacks).
As far as things I did wrong, I never scammed anyone or anything, never really did anything wrong that I remember...I have been summoned by a gm for exploiting aviak pathing in south karana back in 99 because people were reporting me for abusing it, lol...other than that and one time roleplaying my iksar (the one from above) to a female woodelf i met...i kept saying things like "wood elfs are tasty, i want to lick you" and she took it for real and apparently reported me but I never heard anything back, lol.
one more thing, the biggest things going on back then in 99 was camp KSing battles, where a good chunk of the population didnt understand what a "camp" was and felt they could just start attacking anyone's mob when they wanted to (sad but true). One time me and a friend was camping the aviak guards in Lake Rathe and this necro rolls up and starts stealing our guards. We kept telling him to leave but he kept boasting how he keeps getting the kills...so my buddy logs in his level 24 wizard and the guy never got another kill for like 2 days...my buddy followed his ass, lol

I once let a random dude in the tunnel help me with a transfer. He logged with all my equipment... I sent a petition and me and him were summoned to the box. The GM told me that he had none of the gear I said he took from me on his character and pretty much told me I was SOL. They sent us back down to EC and I began to curse out the player and the GM in shout. The GM asked me to stop but I kept calling her a cunt in /shout for letting that fucker take my gear. I was then banned... for 11 years (I got my account unbanned in 2011). However I am not sorry for calling you a cunt Ms. GM, cause you are a cunt and I still hate you till this day.
Oh... my rl friends and I use to train Guntrik (Warrior GM in Oggok) onto druids killing Ogre guards in the city. That was a blast and we killed so many tree hugging druids and got away with it cause we claimed we were roleplaying. I am not sorry for that either.

That was very likely my friend when I was 10.
On the flip side, this is the worst thing that another player ever did to me:
I zone in to Great Divide and am met with a, whose gear and level were similar to mine. I'm a dueling man, so I challenged him to a duel, which he quickly accepted. I hastily unequipped my blade of carnage, switched it out with my fabled executioners axe, equipped the axe in place of my split blade of destruction, and auto inventoried my split blade. Well, I had auto drop when inventory is full on, and the split blade fell to the ground. I glanced down and saw the blade on the ground, and as I was moving my mouse cursor over to it, the rogue picked it up. Rogue refused to give it back and GM's couldn't help me. Learned me a lesson, and I hope you do the same from my experience ;P.

My cousin had just started playing. I had a halfling warrior, he had a rogue.
I was killing orcs in crushbone and convinced him to come from misty thicket. I found group out front before he got there and a spot never opened for him. He stayed there with us for the better half of the day just killing mobs with the group and not getting any xp. I leveled twice while he was just providing free dps. We were level 6-9 around that time.
I still feel bad about it..
edit: i actually don't feel bad:
During SoL, he had sold his end game monk for 800 dollars. He was completely geared out in vex thal and ssra stuff, all avatar'd out with prenerf sleeper weapons.
Since he knew that accounts info couldn't be changed, he accepted the paypal transfer and then took the account back after 1 month. He never did get in trouble for it.

I used to scam people out of their accounts through e-mail phishing because I was a child with a very very loose moral fiber. Many people really did fall for e-mails simply by my asking for their username/password while pretending to be a GM (despite having a @hotmail.com e-mail address, but hey this was like the year 2000). Not to mention I was like 11-12 and typed like shit. I would basically strip the accounts down and give it all to my main, got a ton of awesome shit. Most were random people, and I would take their crap and then drown them in the middle of Lake Rathe and log them out in Gfay so they'd never find their bodies (with whatever no-drop stuff they had).
I was ultimately caught and banned, though it took the GMs a few months. I screwed over some guildmates that way and felt really bad. I even made an account later to log in and apologize to them (one even felt bad I lost my main with over 100 days /played, others weren't as forgiving).
So I apologize, again, to the Veeshan server for that. Something I don't apologize for, though, is when I was hunting in CT on my rogue main and a piece of Ravenscale dropped (ROG only old school armor) and the monk group leader wanted it for one of his alts. I ninja'd that shit and ran and he chased me all the way to the Oasis spamming /shout about what I did (quite a few people telling him to stfu and let me have it along the way) until we were summoned into the infamous GM box and I was forced to give them to him. It was a BS call.

I once lent a friend who was new to the game some gear, nothing huge but I expected to get it back at some point. I came back an hour later and found he had traded a lammy for a blade of passage - I was not pleased.
Fast forward a few years, this same friend had acquired a high level cleric account that he mained and I had access to for rezzing purposes. Time for some revenge.
I first logged him out at the top of the PoK elevator and bound him in some inconvenient spot. He logged in, died, went back and rezzed himself and went on with his day. I was really unsatisfied with this outcome so I thought up another scheme.
After some planning I ran his toon to the farthest corner of Iceclad and bound him at the bottom of the ocean there. I then ran him over to a slightly more convenient area and logged him there, underwater, at 5% health with only a sliver left on his breath bar and completely out of mana.
I then enjoyed many lulz when he logged in, freaked out but managed to not die - sent me many rage filled tells about how I'm an asshole but my plan ultimately didn't work. And then sent me many more, entirely more rage filled tells when he cast gate and ended up as far from the Eastern Waste zone as he could be, instead of nestled neatly in the Plane of Knowledge.
I never did tell him why I did that hateful shit. Justice was served - I'm not sorry at all.

I lent a fairly long time friend my Ton Po's Bo Stick of Understanding to level up his monk with, but before he even hit lvl50 he found Jesus and never returned. After recovering from the massive trauma to my hand, and the patching of up several holes in the dry wall, I drank some juice and grabbed my cell phone. This was back in 2001 or so. I gave Satan a ring and asked for the soul of the guys firstborn child as reparations... kind of feel bad about it. Maybe I should give him visitation rights one weekend a month and every other holiday?
I think I lost 3-4 SoDs the same way. What the fuck is wrong with me?

Well, this was actually a RL friend of mine. I was using his SK to help my Monk level up in Highkeep. I took his SK and ran to the bank when all was said and done and FD'd in front while I went to grab some food and run some errands. I forgot he was logged in and didn't realize that his FD failed. He was bound at the bank in Highkeep, so needless to say, Bosec taught him a thing or two, for about 5 hours, while I left his character afk at the bank.
He lost a lot of levels that day...I felt terrible. Fortunately he got some rezzes and everything was ok, but I still felt terrible.
Bonus: Also with the same friend. I was running around in Plane of Fear with my monk and died. Had to have him help me get my corpse back. This was when Gate Potions existed so not sure the time frame, but long story short, I got my corpse back and was able to gate back, while he got agro and died. Took a few more attempts to finally get his corpse back and both of us gated out. Another fun misadventure.

We were on Rallos Zek and we had anti-pk mains and ran a guild of PK's as secret alts. Two things to apologize for.
1) We would join a c2/c3 caster and port them to gfay and then bind them at the gfay spires so that when we attacked them and they gated we just waited right there and took their plat.
2) There was a period of time in the game where if you had a weapon and an empty inventory spot not filled with a bag or otherwise and you disarmed them it would go into the inventory and you could loot the weapon. We ran a group of bard/enchanter/rogue/sk and we would keep a target blinded indefinitely but not kill them until we got the disarm to work. We took somebody's nirandi's lance etc doing this. You should have heard the flames we got about being hackers etc.

My first go through on this game I was a pretty bad exploiter. I didn't duplicate platinum or harm the economy, I just found ways to dick people over where there was no recourse. I'll share my favorite.
You may all remember in WFP the big red building right through the gate. Pretty much everyone does, because you have to walk past it to get from EC to to the NFP bank.
I used to take my wizard, levitate, and then spam my staff of temperate flux on a bunch of guards, and the two monk guildmasters. Using z-axis as a barrier, I would float from wall-to-wall, rooftop-to-rooftop, until I was at that big red building.
At this point, NPCs couldn't scale the top of the building, for whatever reason. The end result is a pile of NPCs basically staring at you but no way to actually do anything. Here's where it got fun - I'd hide all the NPCs in the back corner so someone coming in from EC wouldn't be able to see them.
You send cleric_01, "Hey dude, can I get a buff?"
Cleric_01 begins to cast a spell...
Reyia Beslin flying kicks Cleric_01 for 500 points of damage
Guard XYZ hits Cleric_01 for 120 points of damage
You get the point. I would basically bait friendly level 60s into giving me a buff, which would then transfer aggro to them, and they would get stomped.
My favorite was a warrior. He had cobalt gauntlets, and I told him that I was stuck on the roof and needed a STR buff. Poor dude clicked his gauntlets on me and got his face pushed in. Of course the worst was when I had been doing this for a solid hour and a cleric showed up to rez the dead. She saw me on top and asked me what was going on... "I don't know, but could I get a buff?" You know the rest.
Me and two buddies would do this every weekend. That account was eventually banned. I'm sorry, people whose name I can't remember. I can't promise I wouldn't ever do it again if it was possible, though.

This is brilliantly evil. I can't think of anything I've done to anyone. I was too nice and had bad things happen to me more often. I remember this guy trying to KS my epic barracuda spawn that I had been camping for about 5 days. Thankfully I won, but the nerve of that guy!

I used to play with ~7 school friends. The last one to join us started playing EQ about half way into Kunark. He was well behind on the level & money curve at that point, and was really eager to catch up. His initial goal was to do the day trader thing in EC, and slowly work his way up in gear, and then level his monk with good gear.
One of our other friends had a fungi, and let us use it while he was on vacation for a few weeks. After experience this power, my friend that was new to EQ became dead set on obtaining a fungi before taking his main, a level 10 monk, any further (lol).
I pointed out to my friend that the fungi tunic and cloth tunics have the same graphic in the inventory... and he took it from there.
He went to EC and /auction'd that he had a fungi to sell. Of course, people were interested in making the trade. So my friend would initially put the borrowed fungi in the trade window, let the other person put a mountain of plat, and then he'd hit cancel and say "oops sorry". He'd then proceed to place the cloth tunic in as scam (note: this was before the time of chat notifications about what has been offered in a trade). Of course, he got caught multiple times and was constantly re-rolling banker alts to escape his other alts reputation. On about the 8th attempt, he was successful in scamming somebody out of a ton of plat for a cloth tunic. A few days later, his level 10 main had a fungi of his own! The person he scammed completely lost it in EC shout and I truly felt sorry for him, but the GMs never reversed the trade because it was his fault for being scammed so blatantly.
So, sorry to whomever my friend scammed!

Another one:
There used to be a room in Ak'Anon that would bug out and "root" npc's for you. You could pull lots of gnomes and just run to this back corner; when the gnomes arrived they'd enter the room and immediately come to a dead stop, well outside of melee range. You could then sit there and AOE or single target DD them down with impunity. I found this by accidentally agroing a gnome on my enchanter - I ran a bit to get a lead and was then going to cast gate at the back of the room... but the mob stopped!
I "needed" the exploit for one last day, and then I'd of out-leveled its usefulness. When I got there on that Saturday morning, I found a druid already using MY sploit! I made a newbie gnome and petitioned him. A few minutes later a GM showed up, thanked me for petitioning the exploit, and then suspended him for 2 weeks.
I waited a little while and then exploited the spot all day =p
edit: Oh ya, sorry for petitioning *you* to use the exploit myself!

Back in 2001-2002 or so when I was around 14 and towards the end of playing EQ seriously. I went through all the server forums and searched for people who posted their yahoo email. Then I would compile a list of those emails and use a cracker to gain access to their yahoo accounts. I would figure out their birthday through other accounts linked to their email and use for the forgot password option on the station website. Thus accessing their Everquest accounts. Although many used the same password and similar usernames for EQ.
All of the accounts I gained access to were lvl 60's. Many of them had fungi's and top items etc. Some of the accounts I did nothing with. A few I think I stripped sold stuff and then traded for items/pp or accounts on other servers to leave no trail of myself on that specific server.
One interesting experience happened because of this. A woman messaged me when I was on her main character. She was part of one of the top guilds on the server. She actually genuinely thanked me for gaining access to her account. She said that she had been addicted to EQ for a long time and by having her account taken away. Made her step back and look at her life and decided to make changes. I never did anything with her character and I think eventually she got it back because I lost interest or I may have given it back. Hard to remember everything.
Web security was not great back then. Basically I would leave the website open to the page where you can change your password for the account. Then I would open EQ login and see if customer service changed the password and many times they did even when I was on the character. All I would do is change it again via their website that I already had open. The lady remarked to me that customer service didn't understand how I kept changing it over and over. Which I was surprised that method even worked at all considering how simple it was.
I'm pretty sure everyone was reimbursed eventually since I only did this for a short time period and I didn't try to keep up with all the accounts I had access to. As well as losing interest in playing EQ.
I would never do that today and I understand how much time people put into their characters. I never did anything like that after those incidents either. Most of the time I give away stuff now to compensate.

Used to have fun in Qeynos area-
Used to drop gold coins on the ground in the newbie yard so that it left a trail that went into the guard house with only one exit. Newbies would follow the trail into the guard house scooping up coins, and once inside one of us would be invis as a troll and block the door. They had no idea what was going on, and one accidentally attacked a guard and died cause they couldn't get out. We did give them a few pp though for their trouble.
We also used to professionally train blackburrow. Back in those days it was pretty well populated and no one was sufficiently twinked. I would stand in the river up top and cast a spell on the gnoll in the bridge to bring the gnolls. Trains would be pretty big, probably close to 50 gnolls, and my friend would invis (as a troll again) and block the only exit. Was hilarious to see the carnage, and there were some twinks who would have made it to the zone out np but they were blocked. Usually what would happen is some barbarian would get blamed for blocking the door. Sorry to any that suffered.

My rl friend was one of the original clerics on Solusek Ro server. Server first Donal's BP. Some of you may have known him- Bartholamow. Anyway, my friend played for years, was OG as fuck, highly respected, very good, but he kind of lost interest over time and was really on and off. One day a third friend of ours had a birthday party (we were like 15) and we wound up all spending the night LANing EQ and watching hentai for laughs. I got on my friend's cleric and ran around in Befallen or Najena, one of those zones. I wound up falling down a well into a jail cell with a KOS mob that was, I think, light blue con inside of it. The mob started attacking my friend's character and I realized he didn't have a gate memmed or any offensive spells, and also didn't have a melee weapon. My friend's level 60 cleric died at the bottom of a well in a level 20 zone where we were sure he wouldn't get it back without considerable effort- the rest of us were too low to help- and my friend basically said "fuck it, I'm done with this game anyway" and never got his corpse back.
I killed Bartholamow and I've spent years carrying that guilt. Every time I run into this guy at the bar or see him on Facebook I think about how I killed his cleric forever.
He recently started playing P99 though so I'm hooking him up to make up for it.

To my regular group at the Evil Eye camping the Manastone:
I am sorry I snagged a second Manastone from the group. Loot messages were implemented to broadcast to your group what you picked up, it was all honor system. I did not uphold that trust.
My brother was a noobie and this was an item he most likely was never going to see. I simply told the group it was "another bag" and I got rid of the corpse by 'clicking on the lore item causing it to poof'.
Except it was not an Evil Eye bag I clicked on to make the corpse poof. It was another Manastone :)
I am sorry but not because my brother was beyond happy and got lots of use out of the stone since he was a druid.

Hmm... I never really did anything too bad. My worst would be on my main on E'ci: Spaceley
When Kunark came out somehow I figured out if I had levi on in CoM I could stay over the water near temple and all the mobs would stand on bridge. So late at night when no one was on, I would pull all the mobs I could find in the zone there and gravity flux them all done extremely slowly. If people would zone in I would just gate out so I wouldn't get caught. CoM just wasn't a popular zone at launch for some reason.
However I do have a terrible story with some RL friends that played on Vallon Zek. I didn't play much on that server as most my friends would grief me and never allow me to level. But one day a friend called me and asked if I could log into Vallon so I could transfer a couple items for him, "I said sure". Keep in mind my main is on E'ci not Vallon, I was like level 14 on Vallon and 50+ on E'ci. Log in and do the transfer and don't think anything of it. Day later my account is banned. Evidently my friend logged into his guild/friends monk and gave me all his stuff and stole it for his character.
He gave me like 4 bags full of stuff and I never thought to even look in the bags because I wanted to get back over to my main.

That is assuming he was naming his toon after the transformer and not an actual Sound Wave(which would fit with a bard). AND you don't know him.. maybe he did name it after the transformer because he LOVED transformers.. fuck.. lots of reason he could have chose the name.. but that doesn't automatically make him a liar.

I used to be in a guild called <Omega> that was pure Taiwan. I couldn't understand a damn thing that they said, yet me and my buddies mentioned previously raided with them. The leader was called 'XX' and I want to say his name was Xanzox or something like taht - it ended and started with X.
Every person in that guild had their name starting with 'Gan'. Literally.
'Gansos', 'Gandidadi', 'Gansacco', the list is exhaustive.
There was a female toon named 'Bimoon' who would send me the weirdest broken english messages all the time implying something sexual. She would emote at me during raids nonstop, and they apparently all thought it was very funny. We used to get up VERY early in the morning to raid with them. I would usually copy/paste what they wrote, and send it back into guildchat with a '???????' at the end, which was also apparently hilarious to them.

In game villain, real life hero. My friend played this game more than he went to school back in the day. He was in that top1% that most servers have. We were scrubs that started after he was lvl 50 but we knew enough about the game and its politics to log in his alts and trade secrets or distract irl him during tracking windows so the other top guild could get the raid mobs first. We were rewarded with mass plat and items for every kill. Was pretty evil then but in hindsight we got him to go outside on sunny days and profited some coin for it. win/win
I apologize to the group my girlfriend and I scammed out of an RGB. I jokingly asked her to a month prior if she sees a haste cloak or belt to 'accidently' disband the group before looting it. Bitch really did it.. Thank you Vainya!

I was on Firiona Vie - The RP/single toon server. Back then (PoP era) I was playing a ranger. I lvled a 2nd account, a lovely dark elf cleric to rez myself if needed.
After being trained a few times in Bastion of Thunder by 2 rangers, I managed to figure out their routine. I trained them multiple times till they lost their lvl and were not able to zone back in. Logged my cleric next to them, they start begging for rez, raging about how a stupid ranjah was training them nonstop.
They both paid 10 000pp for rez, I rez them, they are back in BoT. One of them says he will go xp somewhere else, hes too close to lose lvl.
Both went splat again as I was training them AGAIN with my ranger. They never figured it was the same person training and rezzing them :P
---
I wasn't feeling bad one bit for totally abusing my options with those 2.
But I did train BoT many times and made a fortune rezzing people there. I apologize to all the GOOD people I trained :S

When Luclin came out, one of the first things I did was getting the shrink wand. After that for years I can't even say how many thousands of groups and raids I trained in basically every raid zone that exists and even caused a few guilds to ragequit. I was never once found out because of my tiny, tiny monk.
I got mad at a GM once and I made my surname Gm____isacunt for four weeks straight every time someone would report it. I eventually had the ability to have a surname removed from my main.
I am not sorry. That GM was, in fact, a cunt. To this day I am not allowed to have a surname on my main on live.

Drinal Server; I was grouped in OT with a few people on an alt when another group showed up & started pulling every mob. Many complained in /ooc & /shout and I'm sure even in /tell. When they trained us with a gaggle of lions & more and our group had to zone to Skyfire; I decided the war was on. I camped out, brought in my bard - ran passed the fort & rounded up every guard I could tag, ran them right up to the offending group as I backed of & used Fading Memories. I think I would have won Americas funniest videos or some award had I recorded the events tbh.
So, I trained a bunch of selfish assholes that day & was a hero according to some. I felt slightly bad since the goons, both cliff golems & more wiped out the "offending group" very fast; but deep inside we all felt justice had been served to a group of people that felt entitled to do anything while others had no rights at all.
What is it about this game that can bring out the asshattery in so many people?

Oh who didn't I dick over on live.. I was quite the asshole.
Frequently while leaving basement groups in KC I would round up the entire basement and every mob i could find on the way out before reaching a group, run to the OZ and wait before zoning at the last second. Sometimes that would include my pally friend casting stun on VS and training him to the zone as well.
Same as before.. casting stun in Velks Lab thru the ice, aggroing mobs in the castle and them running the long way around the zone thru dogs then to zone...
One time there was this lone druid medding afk at the TP spot in great divide so i rounded up every kodiak bear in the cave and ran them in a big circle so the lot of them 1 shotted him
Oh and one that takes the cake pretty well was being in a kc group with friends and we kept kicking the monk out right before exp. He got pissed off and left. Next kill a t-staff dropped.
I mean it was pretty dickish stuff but my friends and I had no end to our laughter at the time....

*Tallon Zek*
Loot rules for PvP deaths on the PvP-Teams server, Tallon Zek, have
been changed from "Coin + 1 item" to "Coin Only". This change was made
to study the impact of loot-rules upon server population in reference
to the loot/efficiency disparity between caster and melee characters.
This change is a test, and may or may not be retained or rolled out
across the other PvP servers, pending the results of the server
population study over the next few weeks.

On live me and my neighbor friend shared our account. Almost no one in game knew. As I moved on with other things, he played almost fulltime. One of my good friends I made in EQ needed help with a xfer once, but my RL neighbor was playing instead of me. Needless to say he said he would do the xfer, then logged off and stole her stuff.
I punched my neighbor once I learned what he did, and got her her stuff back (6 months after the fact...).

Sorry to the guy on Live who posted his Boots of Flowing Thought on the Bazaar for 110 pp. He meant to sell them for 110k pp, but he screwed it up, and I profited. I would have given them back if he wasn't rude about it, though.
Sorry to my Live guild for working to get awarded a Blade of Carnage, and then quitting the game selling it and other dropables for around 1 million pp. Sold the plat and my account a few weeks later for over $1,300. I was like 13 and that money seemed like a fortune at the time.

I was a cleric with a chip on his shoulder, Never did I go out of my way to train and or mess up someone’s day but if you were a prick you got late heals or heal calls with no intent of the spell landing to save your life. Brell help you if you instructed me when and how to heal.
Here is one story that I did to a guildie… Others got this same treatment when it was called for.
Kind of sorry to Lennaman <Agony> - Barb warrior.
Grinding out exp in BoT one night in earth main camp(if that was the name). He figured my heals where sporadic or not landing when he wanted them and started telling me when and how to heal, so I started pushing the line(no intent to drop/kill one of my guilds top warriors) And sadly I pushed too far and he died. He went off and I was sorry as I rezed him and was going to play it safe and just get that exp. He continues to rage in /gu and /g. I tell him to drop it and he gets more vocal… So I call a heal that never gets cast and he dies. Tells/gu/g all go off as he is mad understandably so he just died twice in under 10 mins. So I rez him and he loots his gear and we continue the camp. Shit talking still continues and he dies again and again. On the 4th or 5th death in 30 mins or so he realizes he has been clicking yes to 0% rez’s and is close to losing his level… now he was really mad. I even got a tell for the guild leader saying that shit is a riot but don’t delevel our warrior. We stayed for a bit longer and at the end of that session Len sends me a tell and says “see ya next week in Vegas”
Upon meeting Len he smiled and socked in the gut in the lobby of the stratosphere hotel. Fast forward a few hours later we are drunk off our ass and the best of friends. So hence the kind of sorry... I paid for that one. :D

I'd like to apologize to the entire server of Quellious (not my home server, so 0 fucks given at the time) for the Gnollpup stunt. It went on entirely too long, and several GMs endorsed it. Under the guise of "roleplaying", much trolling was had. After hundreds of death threats, ill wishes etc, my account was finally banned. But I was already done with the game at that point, this is post OoW era so who gives a shit. I'd like to (but can't) apologize for changing an rl friend's title and surname. There was a neat little gender bug with ranger titles for about a week or so. Males could use the title "Huntress", thus he became Huntress Darkdusts Shiteater. That led to an interesting conversation with a GM.

I was basically roleplaying a fucking gnoll in PoK (the central hub for the world if you quit before PoP) but I spammed hard in the fucking paint. It was legit retarded now that I'm not 15 years old. I had all of the Darkpaw family quotes on hotkeys, a guild recruit message (which was nonexistent, but people were seriously wanting to join). Either you were in love with me, or you wanted me to die slow. I'd estimate I made 70% of the server's ignore list, which is a feat in itself. Anybody that doubted my street cred (I was a Dark Elf after all), their client was simply fucked up. I'm a GM event *****, thats why reporting me does nothing. Or I'm a retiring GM. The rumors were far worse than anything I put out. People thought I was a GM for being level 1, when there was a tutorial (that you could skip) that brought you to atleast level 2. It was severely retarded. But my friend had bought the #1 pally on the server at the time. So it was fun times in the arena, and dodging druids trying to port me to revamped CT.
