ALT key not showing inventory item info

When I hold down the ALT key and mouse-over my inventory, only the spell gems have the description text overlay. I am not seeing the overlays for my inventory items/bags.

Nor should you, afaik.

If you have an open container, alt-pressed should show you the contents.

Without alt pressed, simply mousing over the general 8 inventory slots should show the name.

Oh ok so items in the base inventory slots don't get the ALT overlay same as bag contents. Sorry, I did not realize that!
