Quad issue?

I'm not sure if this is how it is supposed to be to make quadding harder but I noticed something today when I was quadding shadowed men on my wizard. Instead of doing the traditional way of grouping them up in circles and snaring I just casted one AE on them and they ran to me. Since I'm a much higher level wizard I just let them group around me and I casted the second AE. However, I noticed my Pillar spell not only hit all 4 shadowed men and me but it also hit me for a second round. I know if you are in range you will get hit but are you supposed to get hit by it twice. This one ae spell effectively hit 6 times, once for each of the 4 mobs and twice on me.

Can you duplicate it and get a screenshot maybe?

Yeah I duplicated this but I'm not sure how to post a screenshot? I actually wound up killing myself because I took two hits from pillar of lightning for 1666 damage.

Yeah, like I said I was in Innothule and using Pillar of Lightning. Not sure if its just Pillar of Lightning as I didn't think to try a different ae spell when I was home before.

Something definitely seems off.

First time I gathered up 4 mobs and did it,

I only hit the 4 mobs around me.

here I hit the 3 remaining mobs after I killed one and it didnt hit me or try.

Next I gathered up 5 mobs and,

it hit 4 mobs and myself, i did two more ae's after that one but forgot to screenshot and what happened was even stranger.

the first ae hit 5 tagets and killed one, the second ae ONLY hit me with 4 other mobs standing right next to me, twice. Took a few steps back and did the ae again and only hit the 4 of them and not myself.

if you click the image on photbucket there are a list of commands to the right of it, html/direct/url just click on the direct link then on p99 forums clcik the insert imagine tab or past

I found my screenshots that are like that, hitting up to 6 beings. moved it from one folder to another and its completely locked cant even view them, thanks vista. Trying to get it figured then ill add em

Totally F'd my pc trying to get access to screenshots, still can't. wow is vista the worst thing in the world....

anyway yeah ive only tried pillar but this is happening a couple of times.
