Description: There's a firing line of Guards on the west side of the first bridge coming in Thurgadin A, when agroed they do nothing but stand.
Relevant NPCs: Guard Clorn & pals
Relevant LOCs: west side of Thurgadin A first bridge
Steps to reproduce bug: cast/throw something at them.
Expected behavior: Should have a bow ranged attack
Research: Live behavior +
guys this bow is just to make the soldiers attack you with bows. it would be boaring if all the archers would come out of their position to hit you with their hands no? so they gave them those crossbow so they could use it to fight the person wanting to kil them. they are not intended to be used by players.

This crossbow drops from the royal archers that spawn at the conclusion of the coldain insignia ring quest. It is no drop, no rent, none / none, and appears not to be live yet. I and some friends killed a royal archer after he ks'd the orc chieftain from my first attempt at the 8th ring. The royal archers have insane health, and shoot for 80 damage a shot.

Semi related, NPCs should be able to use items we give to them, kinda.
they are live on fennin ro, some crackhead gave one to Rushka Deklamoore in EC tunnel, looked kinda neat. Verant is a bunch of gay little sh*ts, they should make this like rnger/woodelf or something and drop off some ToV mob or sleeper's tomb mob that way it actualy has a pupose in the game
yes these are no rent, but you can still have fun with them. i got a handful once and gave them to the giants in great divide. they become huge crossbows and yet the giants don't shoot with them. instead they treat it as a blunt 1 hand weapon with a ratio of 30/15. makes them hellish to try and kill. down with dorfs! cheer the giants!
From this im deducing that NPCs need arrows in their inventory to use bows and arrow weapons, (the thurga and royal guards drop velium arrows as well as the xbows) but when given to an npc without ammo they just use them as 1hb with the same ratio.
