It seems silly to me that the term toxic gets thrown all around these boards to describe the players and community here.
People who don't play here because of toxic players are really saying that pvp is toxic and they can't handle that pvp.
If people were toxic, they would have no friends. There wouldn't be a community. No one would want to play with them.
The fact is that what some people perceive as a toxic player is not what everyone perceives as toxic.
People behave badly on the internet, that has been true before Everquest.
People thrive off of being better then others and sometimes they rub it in their face. This happens in real life and no one calls that person toxic, maybe a bad sport.
World of Warcraft doesn't let you talk to other players you fight because they know it's a natural thing between conflicting parties to shit talk and don't want to deal with regulating it.
If you can't handle smack talk or put people on ignore, wow has you covered.
Toxic does not mean unfriendly, competitive or hostile. Not on a pvp server.
