Alright, I'm going to give Red a genuine try.

I've always loved the PvP aspect of games but have been hesitant to play on Red because of the stories I've heard about spawncampers and corpsecampers, as well as the consistently low player population. But people are telling me that it really is a fun server if you're willing to commit to it, so I'm going to give it a fair chance and take my best shot at it.

I don't suppose there are any leveling guilds that would welcome a Halfelf Bard? >.>

Uprising is pretty much the "leveling" guild atm since Red Dawn is gone now. Actually a lot of cool people in there and Id say half if not more are blue rerolls or first timers on the server.

What classes are overplayed on Red and what's in need? I was considering a Halfelf Bard.

Overplayed... wiz, necro, druid, rogue, monk.

This is most definitely the main appeal to Red imo. Grinding can get boring, on Red you can take a break and go kill people :)

There's plenty of melee on the box. Not really that many hybrids though. And mostly rogue/monks.

Fewer wars. Their not overpopulated.

Everyone and almost everyone has a damn caster that's well geared. Very few people just play a melee.
