What I mean by this is, is it possible to swap out a weapon model in the P99 files for a weapon model from a different era and have it display correctly in-game? Such as a Sword of the Bloodsworn model on a Noctivagant Blade?
To you only, of course, not other players.

yes since the models are read locally you can modify what is displayed.. people have modded out kunark to avoid the trees, etc.

How can I do this? Is there a guide or something? I've looked in my EQ directory and can't find the folder that has all the weapon and item models.

The models would be in the files in the main EQ folder.

The models would be in the S3D files in the main EQ folder.
There exists no such folder in my EQ directory. I am using EQ Titanium if it's at all relevant.

Those are all the folders in my EQ directory.

.s3d is the extension, I guess it's those individual files in the main folder that'll need working over.

Okay, the question is which ones are for weapons and how do I change them?

If you manage to do it without any bugs, make a zip file and release them for the community, you'll be thanked for it ;)

You need a program called s3dspy I believe (to work with s3d files)

Why would the p99 dev community care? They just won't support it if something goes wrong on your end.

This is close. (https://shardsofdalaya.com/forum/index.php?threads/adventures-in-texture-editing.28215/) Guide on altering textures, but not models.

Once Velious and all patching is done afterwards, i sure hope they crowd source custom content in this way. The snowy Qeynos Hills looks awesome in that thread.
I wouldn't mind seeing up through PoP without portal stones/books, etc. Easy transportation and minimal death penalty (respawn with all items, etc) really started EQ's demise.
