Preface: I did a search but I didn't see anything specific to this inquiry...

Dunno about you guys, buy my machine is pretty fast. Hell, even a low-end modern PC would run classic EQ at mach 5. So, I'm curious... is there any way to slow down the bobbing speed of Levitate (and DMF too, I assume)? It's insane. I know spells like that take some time to "get used to", but really... it's SO fast!

Considering the code was written for most 1999 PC's (in the range of a 486 DX2 50mhz), is it possible to offset that somehow so that we get that slow, gentle, rolling Levitate we remember from classic EQ instead of how it exists currently?

It's client specific, SoD is the only one that does not bob that fast iirc.

Hadn't both the pentium 1 and 2 been out for a while in 1999?

Minimum requirements for Classic EQ was a Pentium 160mhz, or close to that. Though realistically you didn't want to run it on anything slower than a Pentium II.

I had a 486 DX2 40Mhz in 1993.

Hrmmm. Yeah, I may be thinking about my first PC (that was running Doom, etc). Either way, would be nice to slow that animation down if possible (but I'm guessing that's not likely).
