New player coming over from red - or am I?

I've played off-and-on on blue since 2010.

I'd like to roll a character on red but am concerned about the comments that I read about the server going away?

I don't want to invest time in something and then have it disappear.

Can anyone give me more information on the longevity of the red server with factual basis?

I still play red. My reply is honest. To say there are changes in the future that are gona make the server great is a lie. You dont know what these changes are, so how you gona act like their gona help the server? I hopr they will help but lets keep it real ...
1) Changes usually take months
2) Server hardly ever agrees with the change.

P.S. lots of people play wiz/dru/shm/necro first. Than another class, though ench/brd entirely viable.

I leveled 2x clrs to 50+ idk why, but I did.
