I could be a huge noob BUT....

I noticed this morning that there seemed to be some changes to the skill "Intimidation" (at least for rogues). Previously, when you used the skill, you were instantly aware whether the skill succeeded in triggering a cast of "Fear" on an npc. Since 3/23/2014, it appears that there is a delay in finding out whether the skill triggers or not (i.e. you press the button and 6 seconds later you get the message "You're not scaring anyone" or you succeed in casting Fear).

But, seemingly attached to this change, when Intimidation succeeds now, I would 'kick an NPC for 10 damage.' Kicking as a rogue? Doesn't seem right to me.

This is actually classic and was implemented with the last patch. If you miss the kick, you also miss the intimidation.

yep the intimidation goes off on the kick, hit or miss. accurate.

Oh, are you saying the intimidation goes off on a missed kick? Guess I thought it was only on a hit.

Kick has to land for the Fear to fire.

If the Kick misses, no Fear but you can get a skillup.

Since rogues have zero kick skill, this seems like a huge intimidation nerf and defeats skilling up of intimidation in the first place.

It doesnt use the kick skill. So dont worry about that part. Just get ur intimidation skill up. And another note, you can get skillups from a distance.

It should be checking the skill level of Intimidation for success/failure on the Kick.

no i meant it fires on the kick message, you do all the animations but the success or failure depends on that kick hit or miss.

The mechanics may not be perfect. Was quite complicated for one skill. But its better now.

This is pretty close to Classic now.

I think the only thing I noticed while using this was that Instill Doubt would still fire if the Special Attack skill was previously used and not up (Flying Kick/Backstab/Not sure on Bard).

Shouldn't work if greyed out.

Excellent job on this Haynar.
