Only the level 44 pet receives a proc DD upgrade (108) the 40-43 pets you can summon still nuke for 42.

unless i'm mistaken 40-43 air/earth focused pets don't nuke too only lvl 44 do.

According to this it is only supposed to effect pets level 49+ I am not sure if that means pet level or spell level.

In a related issue, are the Sol Ro quest items supposed to be superior to the raid drop Staff of Elemental Mastery: whatever items until Kunark? Currently they seem to have exactly the same effect (I haven't finished all my testing yet), but are one handed instead of two handed, and they have stats on them. I didn't play a mage in classic so I'm not clear on whether the sol ro quest items were always supposed to be equal in power to the staff of elemental mastery items until lvl 51+.
