8 slot backpack within an 8 slot backpack

In North Freeport, I bought a backpack, and it went into another backpack. Upon opening the backpack in the backpack it was only 1 slot with an additional backpack but I could not open that one. I had taken a screen shot <minus key on number pad> but was also getting spoken too and didnt pay attention. as soon as I logged out I couldnt find the screenshop.

So take it for what it's worth.

Once I removed the backpack from the 8 slot backpack I could not put it in.

Hummm. Sometimes when your slots are full, it will force an item into different things. I carry a quiver on me at all times, when I loot a creature, it will put items into my quiver. Now, once I take them out, it won't let me put them back as it is only for arrows.

Anyway, if you bought a bag, it shouldn't have shown up in another bag. It should have popped up on your cursor and told you that you don't have room for another container.

I was talking to him while it happened and we went through all of the 'did it really happen'.
It seemed to occur because he purchased them too quickly.
The backpack only having 1 slot makes sense due to nature of the game's inventory mechanics.
It should be in eq folder > screenshots folder > EQ0000xxxx.bmp

Edit: I've been informed by someone in the know, that there's more to the story about how the bag got in the bag to begin with. I knew there was more to the story, because of the reason I sent him into the store instead of going myself, but the plot thickens. I'll throw it up in petition/exploit once I've got enough documentation. If anyone official wants immediate details, send me a forum PM.
