I can't remember if at release red99 had item loot or just coin, but is it a technical hurdle or design choice to limit to coin only?

How awesome would the server be if all loot was lootable (no NO DROP) like old Firiona Vie, and bags (plus all contents inside bag) were lootable (in addition to worn gear)?

Would make fighting twinks super fun.

Item loot makes eq pvp a one sided grief fest.

Running around naked and bagging items is the play style they desire.

The best part is the huge advantage you get when you raid and get no drop gear and slaughter those without it for the ultimate one sided grief fest.

item loot is fun. it offers a completely new side to EverQuest (just like how PvP adds a whole new side of gameplay), Item loot adds another level. Obvously speaking about a classic implementation - 1 item, no bags or weapons

you don't have to if itemloot is enabled, play a wizard and deal with it

Yeah bag your stuff leads to 0 people on the server. No one plays melees. Everyone is a naked druid.

It's been tried before on three servers and Verant took it off for a reason, it simply doesn't work in a game like Everquest. The risk:reward is all blown out of whack and no one plays.

I love item loot, it makes the game so much more fun. Why would anyone run around on a naked toon? when the point is to give your self the best chance to win a fight.

What are people doing with the items they loot from other players? just putting them in the bank to look at?

Actually, item loot is EZ mode pixels for people that can play the dirtiest. It will destroy any hope of having low level exp groups because people will get turned on @ low hp (which still happens occasionally, but will happen more often with item loot). Concept is dumb on this server.

We are almost over this technical hurdle that prevents players from looting items shown in the loot window.

4 level range is good (hate to blow a pras here but.. pras, just one before the grand pras finale).

Losing a plat diamond ring on a server with 4x more diamonds than players surely will only add a little fun and discourage the griefing of newbs in unrest with a little CLASSIC RISK/REWARD MECHANIC (cornerstone of EQ here people).
